I played the demo because of the reviews. Sometimes I find the game is actually better for me than what others thought but lately so many games have been lousy and short and still priced as high I've started playing the demo first. This one lived up to the majority of the reviews. It's bad.
Based on the reviews, this is the first Grim Tales I didn't just buy outright, I downloaded the demo. First 5 minutes was enough for me. Anna is poisoned, heart stops so she died? But nope, it's Anna so a matching heart is miraculously found and it's transplanted. Like that would happen. She's up, awake and moving right after? Please. Just too, too implausible. I need at least a bit of reality in these games.
We've come a long way since the beginning of HOG so why go all the way back? I wish I had read the reviews before I bought this but I already had purchased 1 Bonfire Stories game and it was alright. This one, there was nothing to it. I finished it, hit a couple of snags it was hard to go around but I managed. Just so boring. No story. Just bouncing back and forth between hidden object scenes. Hey, game makers - I don't think we all want to go back to the beginning of Hidden Object Games. I don't.
This game seemed really short. I am only able to play during my lunch hour and I finished it in a couple days, games used to take three or four. Price hasn't changed but the games (not just this one) are getting shorter and shorter.
(I have all the other Danse Macabre series). I think the title on this one is misleading. Some poor crazy woman running around killing people doesn't make her a banshee. And short, boy was this one short. It was over before it got started. What there was was okay but that's it. Buy it when it's 1/2 off.
I have all the others in this series and I just can't get into this one. I've played maybe ten minutes (and unfortunately I've bought it so I keep trying!). There's just something about it that turns me off, maybe it's the magic tricks. Even the opening sequence annoys me. Maybe it's just me but I don't like it.
I don't recommend this game.

All of a sudden it was over and done that surprised me. The bonus chapter should have been part of the original game to lengthen it a little.
