I disliked this game, simply because of the different minigames I get to choose from. Some of the games were ok, others were just boring, as my title implies.
Try before you buy, but for me, it's a no-no. I can't even recommend it, unless you're a fan of these 'select a minigame' kind of thing. And of course you're a fan of Casual Arts, the developer of this game.
I don't recommend this game.

Why would I play this game if I have the Timed option off (on Relaxed mode) and play the first level and then all of a sudden, get a star deducted?!? This makes no sense to me !! I deleted it off my computer. I cannot play a puzzle game if I cannot get three stars all the time. Really aggravating...
I don't recommend this game.

Hi fishies:
Based on the progress I made (10 levels, with one task on the lawn screen complete), I honestly agree with everyone else's reviews, that some of the levels were wayy too easy while some others were completed with very little effort but still on the easy side (that is, until you get to Day 2, then they get a little rougher). Music is fine, items to click on or clean up were easy to see, challenge level is okay, and the game is fun and not too boring as some other reviewers said it was boring; this is NOT boring at all ! I can't comment on the storyline (I wasn't too far into the game to see any storyline yet), but maybe on later levels I will probably see it (and namely on the lawn screen (the tasks)).
I will recommend this game if you like some other games similar to this one, but this is not a bad game as some others have stated before, but everyone has their own opinions. Try it before you buy and see what you think.
I recommend this game!

When I first downloaded this game, I thought this would be fun,. NOT ! First of all, 2 things that turned me down from playing it: 1) The sound: the music was okay as I'm accustomed to it (meaning I'm used to it) but the sound part (like when you put a piece in place (where it belongs), it would make a bell or chime sound (I could have turned this way down or even off, but I didn't); 2) It was a kids game: the knight girl would dance around whenever and every time you put a piece in the proper place. I played thru only the first puzzle, then I quit out and uninstalled it.
If only the girl knight wasn't in this game I would have kept on playing it as it was fun and enjoyable. But alas, this was not it...it was a no-buy for me..
I would only recommend this game for the kids and younger adults that would enjoy this game.
I don't recommend this game.

When I got my daily PC splash email this morning, I saw this game that was going to be released, so I took a look at it by clicking the link. After I read the story thinking that it was the 4th Adelantado game in the series, I thought:
"WOW !! A fourth Adelantado game in the series?! Seriously?! I should try it out."
So I did try the demo first, and boy was I surprised to see it from the developer that made the other games in this series as well as the Roads of Rome series (which I both LOVE them all !) !!
As my title states, I give this developer a big 5 stars as an awesome game all the way around from this developer !! I like everything that is in it: the music and sound, the fun factor, the challenges and even the storyline--all awesome !!
The only thing I didn't like about this game is that you couldn't click ahead based on the number of workers at your camp. But oh well, I'll get used to that.
Nicely done developers !! If you like this game and this series (or others like it from this developer, of that matter or whichever case), I definitely give it a try to make sure it runs on your PC, then buy it as it's a "must-have" (as I have just bought this game with my free game coupon !). But of course, this is just my opinion, so feel free to try it everyone and see it for yourself ! Enjoy !!
I recommend this game!

Relaxed mode not being 'relaxed'

I downloaded the demo and began playing it. Here's a few things I did like/love about this game and those I didn't like (hence why my ratings above were some high and some low) followed by my overall synopsis:
Liked/Loved:
Storyline: It kept me entertained. I rated it as all five points (excellent job developers!).
Neither Like or Dislike:
Fun Factor: The reason I gave this rating only three points is because some were way too easy (meaning you could complete them in very fast timing) and some were hard (meaning strategic use of power-ups and making matches effectively without running out of matches). One thing to mention about running out of matches: The game doesn't have an "auto-shuffle" option so if you run out of matches, you must restart the level over, making it very frustrating!! :(
Visual/Sound Quality: I gave this four points because some of the tiles were hard to see (they were rather small on a large scale board) (1 point for the visual quality); the music was rather okay but was sometimes repetitive (some of the soundtracks were repeating over and over again (3 points for the sound quality)). I did get used to this overall.
Dislikes:
Level of Challenge: I gave this one point because, like the Fun Factor stated above, you have to effectively use your power-ups carefully and considerably on later levels because if you run out of matches, it forces you to restart the level over!!
Overall, I just wished the developers would have made the relaxed mode (and I AM glad they made a relaxed mode available for this second game!) more 'relaxed' (meaning if you run out of matches, it would automatically shuffle the icons/tiles around), but instead they made you think more and use your power-ups more effectively, making it more of a 'strategy' type game than a traditional 'match-3' type game. If they did made it more relaxing, I would have rated this game more higher on all categories.
I would recommend to try the demo first and see if you like this strategy-type game, but for me it's an okay game, just wished for that "more relaxed" mode...
I recommend this game!

It was an awful game. Who could play this match 3 game that was actually a chain match 3 game (and no way to change the type of match 3) to make it more entertaining?!? Pretty sad developers...
The music was "a-ok" which was the only thing I liked about the game, but I didn't liked it being a "timed" game, no story involved, no great level of challenge and was not fun #even after I played just one level!#. I would consider you try before you buy, but this game is a "no-go" for me...
I don't recommend this game.

This is a fun Time Management game of which I really love the entire series!! The extra "kids" part (of which you have to save the kids) is fun but when you play several levels their "laughing" voice can be annoying. The storyline and fun factor (which I have rated) are all excellent or "top notch"! There are again puzzle pieces which you have to find to complete puzzles which adds to the fun factor. The levels do however get very challenging as you go further in the game. There are three levels of difficulty: Relaxed (you play without a timer), Casual (play normally) and Expert (which is more challenging). The thing is, if you play Relaxed, there's good and bad news: good news: you don't worry about a timer ticking down at your throat trying to complete the level, but the bad: no stars but you still are able to complete the levels.
If you're a fan of 12 Labours of Hercules and its series, you should definitely give it a try, then maybe buy it if you really like it.
I recommend this game!

This is a fun game. You get to collect resources, build different buildings and bridges, repair roads and collect keys to continue on as well as getting the secret chests. A great game for younger people who don't mind no extra challenges (play at your own pace#, but not for those who want better challenges. There are only 28 levels to play #could have had more levels#, which came unexpected--and I was so saddened by that. There is no storyline involved during the game #only at the beginning then at the end#, which is why I gave the storyline rating low.
I played the short demo and thought I'd buy it. When I played all 28 levels on Relaxed mode #don't like playing against the clock in TM games#, I had expected more than that. What's with playing 28 levels, with most other TM games having 40+ levels #sometimes 50+)?! Really?? Doesn't make sense. I could have played a much better TM game than this one if it wasn't for the 28 levels--what a waste of a game credit for a short game!!
I am not sure if I would really recommend this game or not. If you like the 'no challenges' and the 'low number of levels', this game might be for you, but if not, I definitely do not recommend you own the game--it's just a waste of your game time and money spent on purchasing it.
I don't recommend this game.

I LOVE this game! I remember playing the first one in this series, and it was a fun game. Now this one is even better!! In addition to completing levels and getting Gold Times (that includes getting a Scarab and rebuilding your city), it now comes with cool bonuses that can, at later levels, come in very handy when you're trying to get that Gold Time and win more Scarabs!! I loved the theme, the storyline is funny at times (espcially the Cutscenes!) and the extra challenge that comes in on the later levels (trying to win those Gold Times on those later levels will be tough!).
When I played the hour demo, I played 5 levels and got all 5 of them Gold Times (and I loved those bonuses that popped up on the fourth level -- what a surprise!), and right now I almost have 2 temples restored, 265 Scarabs and used 2 bonuses that both cost 30 Scarabs.
There is a trick to getting those Gold Times and winning those Scarabs: Just work on your goals displayed at the top-right corner (place your Quarry in an empty lot near your workers hut -- it saves time getting your stones!), keep building your houses and upgrading them, and keep collecting resources to get your tasks done, and you'll easily win the Gold Time!!
But on the later levels it is not always that easy getting that Gold Time, so do not despair if you don't get it on the first try -- just replay the completed level to improve your time -- it only gets more challenging the further you go on.
But it's still fun to play, even if you don't like the extra challenge of getting the Gold Times. To those of you who read my review, take the time to play the hour demo and see it for yourself -- it's worth the try! I definitely would recommend everyone(or anyone) to buy this game if they like the fun factor or the extra "challenge(s)"!!
I recommend this game!
