I usually play demos from Big Fish AND other sites to be certain of a game before purchasing it! I hadn't even finished the demo yet and decided to buy this ASAP!!
I'm really not sure of what the whole story is yet, but I don't really care! This was creepy and suspenseful enough right from the get, and I'm pretty sure it's only going to get worse, especially if I keep making the 'wrong' choices. Yup, you get to make certain decisions for your next action, and I've already been asked a choice of what my character has feared the most!
There are some good scares along with the other goodies I mentioned: Creepy things jumping at you, a room filling up with water, saw blades and more to come, I'm sure.
Maze: Subject 360 has that warm and fuzzy "Silent Hill" feel to it! There have been a some things that remind me of some of the movie's scenes, but not copied. This is a very original game!
The graphics and sounds are good and the voice-overs (especially the antagonist's) are superb!
If you like an game environment that's creepy-scary, suspenseful with sudden surprises; then this is definitely for you!
Follow orphan Eva on a trip to mystical Prague. Will she find out about her Royal origins, find real love, and save the world from a monster? It’s all up to you.
An Expert would probably dislike this game a lot. The graphics are not high end, the H.O. scenes are easy (I played on 'Casual' mode), the puzzles are easy (when you can figure out what you're supposed to accomplish), the hint recharges VERY quickly, you don't get dinged for clicking all over the place and there's a map too!
This game does have something I don't see often in other H.O. games: You can turn around within the room you're in and you sometimes need objects from your inventory to complete H.O. scenes. Pretty nifty actually.
To sum up...
GREAT for Beginners Boring for Experts Good for Intermediates when we're feeling lazy!
I'm fairly new to hidden object games, so I usually rely on walkthroughs. Not on this one. I still used hints, but only because I got lazy! I don't like clowns or dolls, so I knew this would creep me out, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. The only major complaint I have is that the music stays the same throughout the entire game.
I rated 'poor' for the visual quality because of the problem I had with the cursor. It was very difficult to go back to a scene without ending up in 'inventory' instead.....VERY annoying!! The visual and sound quality themselves were fine.
The hidden object scenes were not very well done. About half the time, when I clicked randomly, I would 'accidentally' find an object. Even once the object was shown it looked NOTHING like what it was supposed to be! (And I don't mean that I clicked on a "bat" not realizing it was supposed to be a "baseball bat"...I know hidden object descriptions can be either/or!)
I wasn't sure how to rate the storyline since I couldn't stand to play it more than the hour allotted for the free trial. It seemed like it would be interesting.
I DID enjoy the puzzles, but not enough to buy this game. It's a shame because it seemed like it would be an interesting journey, but that cursor issue really ticked me off more than anything!!! If you can put up with the issues I had, then I might recommend it. I, myself, just didn't have the patience.
I only played the demo, but, anytime I tried to 'arrow' back the Inventory would always pop up - VERY annoying!! I found the graphics to be a little 'choppy'. The puzzles were very easy, surely too easy for the H.O.G. pro. But it would be a GREAT game for a newbie!
Vampire Legends: The True Story of Kisilova Collector’s Edition is an incredible adventure based on the true story of the first documented case of vampirism ever!
I'm a little new to these Hidden Object games. So, I admit I usually have to refer to the walkthroughs a LOT on most games. This one was challenging, but not to the point I was always using the guide...Nice for a change! I love the vampire genre (NOT 'Twilight'!!) Although I prefer more blood and gore with my vampire experience, I realized that this is not that kind of game. It was a great journey, nonetheless! I didn't know this was based in some truth until I watched the Extras after completing the game. So, of course, I spent an hour checking out more about Kisilova afterwards. I would recommend this for both beginners and pros alike. It really holds your attention and keeps you playing. I'll definitely be playing it again!
