Like others have said, "Similar in many ways to the fine 'Cradle of Rome' Match 3 game, where you are tasked with earning materials and building a town." And I very much enjoyed those games.
It's not a fancy story line. It's pretty simple to play. I don't know about others, but sometimes I like simple.
After finishing the base game, I've kept playing, trying to see if I can get all the achievements. (I don't think that is actually possible in regular game play, I could be wrong though).
It's not hard to tell what is what to me. I have had some eye problems lately, so my usual favorite genre of HoGs are mostly too dark and hurt my eyes. This was a pleasant diversion.
I would get it again.
I recommend this game!

As others have said, this is not a new game, but just a remastering of the "Call of Atlantis game from years past. When I first saw it, I thought, oh, a sequel. After playing a couple levels on demo, I went back to the old one and yep, no real difference.
If you have the first one, don't spend your money. If you don't you may like this one.
I don't recommend this game.

Most of what others have said is true, but not all.
If you leave the tutorial and go back to the main menu and select options, you can get the system cursor and change the screen resolution a bit. That helps tremendously.
However, the tutorial is slow, monotonous and boring enough that I didn't finish it. Movement on the match 3 is at a snails pace.
Dull and boring is the best description.
I don't recommend this game.
