I like the story line a lot, the graphics are good, the restaurants and other characters are good. However, the game is way too easy. Even on expert (which they warn you is super super hard) is soooooo easy that the game quickly becomes boring. I am only plowing through the levels to that I can get to the story.
I think what happened is they didn't invest the development time in this game so it is too easy and challenging elements are missing all together. Unlike other games by this developer the following is different: 1) chaining only for check out, not for serving or for cleaning tables 2) mouse is super easy to find 3) challenge levels are not challenging 4) extra challenges on regular levels are super easy and not very distracting 5) food prep challenges are minimal 6) customers look different but they don't act different from one another - all take same time to order, eat, and have same patience level 7) customer patience is soooo long that it's hard to even get them to 4 hearts instead of 5
As you can see, overall, this game has been stripped of all the things that make these great games except for the storyline and graphics.
I LOVE time management games and I wanted love this one, but after an hour of play I don't plan to purchase the game. I really like that there are a lot of options and using strategy is a must (that's why I gave it 3 stars). Somehow though, the graphics and the click action are downright annoying to me, to the point I couldn't continue playing. Also, collecting the "potions" and "hidden guy" every level seemed pointless even as bonuses (and aren't acknowledged on the completion screen at the end of each level). Also, a huge screen pops up when you click on them that you have to click OK every single time and this can really disrupt the flow.
I love these kinds of games and with 6 colors they could have really done something with this. Instead the puzzles are super easy and a lot of the additional colors add nothing to the puzzle aspect. If you are a hardcore gridder this isn't the game for you.
I just got done playing Farm Frenzy: Heave Ho which I loved. In fact, I enjoyed it so much I decided to see what other Farm Frenzy games were available that I hadn't played. So I got the Farm Frenzy 4 (FF4) trial.
I can't even believe that they are related they are so different. There is nothing about FF4 that I like. It is clunky, there are so many grammatical and spelling errors that it's distracting, I don't find the animals nearly as cute, the graphics are weird, game play is clunky, I could go on and on. I played this game for 30 minutes and deleted it - couldn't stand it!
I really wanted to like this game - for me. I love cats, Christmas and more light-hearted themes (I get very tired of all the very dark HOGs).
I played the one hour demo. The game is cute - a little too cute. The game - is relaxed and easy - a little too easy. The challenges are pretty simple - a little too simple. What this adds up to for me - this would be a blast to play with a child. But as an adult playing alone, it just couldn't hold my interest.
I won't be buying the full version. I can whole-heartedly recommend this for a family but not for an adult player.
I don't recommend this game.

I hardly ever review games. This one was amazing! I am not going to go into the details of the game/game play since other reviewers have done that.
What I want to emphasize is how creative this game is both in graphics and story line - this could be made into a novella or a comic book - it's that good! It grabs you and holds you. The story and scenes are so mesmerizing you forget about the game part - it is only a vehicle to help you unfold the story. You become totally immersed. This should win a "game of the year" award!!
