Bought this because I have all the others. Really dislike the laser beams. Got to level 29 and the level wouldn't end so I could not move on. Didn't matter how many times I replayed. I had to demand a refund; they did not offer it. I see others had similar issues. Characters move very slowly. Just not fun!
The Hero of the Kingdom games are my favorite and I play them all over and over again. This one has plenty of winks to the other story lines. It's best to play them in order but you can still completely enjoy it without doing so. Go at your own pace, look for tiny things (I make an exception for this game since it's not a constant thing). Help people and save the kingdom! The original games were much longer than the two Lost Tales games but they are still well worth the money. I'm already going to play again to find that one missing crate *sigh* You can also play after the end of the game if you want to tidy up your achievements.
I love this game! I've been playing this game for a few weeks now and really enjoying it. It's plenty long and very clever. Lots of interaction, sometimes just for laughs and other times revealing something important. And speaking of laughs, I love all the silly things about it. Little figures bobbing and weaving as they wait to go to the bathroom or when you interrupt them in the porta potty! Funny noises when you click on certain people...it's a hoot!
I enjoyed this game, particularly the length (if I'm going to spring for a CE, I expect it to entertain me for more than an hour or two). There are some minor flaws (misnamed items, occasions where if you don't click in the EXACT spot, it won't work) but for the most part I enjoyed it very much. I will say that if you click on the map during bonus play you will become trapped in locations from the first part of the game and there's no way out I can find except to start over (harumph!). I liked the variety in the puzzles (there's something for everyone). Some of the sound effects (Merlin's voice, Mordred when he moves too near to a certain object) are very annoying but there was also some lovely music. Maybe the developers don't know any old people to do voiceovers.....I'm sure they could source it out to Big Fish! I must have really liked the game though because I'm giving it a good review even though I have to replay it to finish the bonus game. Give it a try, I think you'll like it.
This is a creative idea, though somewhat repetitive. I see a lot of people having issues with the camels on level 28. Be sure you have completely cleared all the exits or the camels have nowhere to go. I am stuck on level 42 where it only seems to register that I used 2 sands of time and there are three. I know I used them all and have already played it twice. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Loved the game when it first came out and have played it multiple times. Yes solitaire has been around but you are rewarded for making long chains and have to meet goals to go forward. It gets very challenging at the last few levels! What I truly love though is that it takes you to another world and surprises you here and there with the story line. I love the cute little eggs and really want to play more relaxed so I can focus on them a bit more. Try it!
