I must have played the first Regency game s hundred times. Good story, graphice and just enough challenge. This one is so welxome and even better with new power-ups. I replay each hand until I get all three stars. This is sometimes frustrating, but so satisfying..
I recommend this game!
Find clues, interrogate suspects, complete solitaire puzzles and find hidden clues to solve a murder mystery!

Because I loved the first two games in this series I bought this one, sight unseen. No options, no skip for puzzles, HOGS or Mahjong. No fun to play. I was almost relieved when it froze after twenty minutes and I had to shut down and restart the computer to do anything. The deceptive daggers of the title are aimed at the player. If you feel a need to do penance for some gaming sins, go for it.Otherwise, save your money.
I don't recommend this game.
