Wow! I purchased this game for only $5, which is way more than it is worth. I seldom purchase a game from Big Fish that I find is a total waste, but this one certainly is. I had to use my escape key to get out of the stalled box segment 3 times. I never could get past the first level. Really disappointing. I like the other Hiddenverse games but the glitches keep me from playing this one. I've deleted it from my games.
Yes! This! I seldom gush about games, but this one is fabulous! It is absolutely one of my all-time favorites. Not your same only HOPs or puzzles. I enjoyed this game from the get-go. Yay!
I enjoyed this game very much. I love HOPs and this had plenty to satisfy. The included games were not so hard as to be frustrating but not too easy, to be boring. I think beginners and intermediate players would both enjoy this game. The game and the storyline moved forward quickly and except for one tiny section, flowed well. I plan to search for other Queen/Regicide games that I haven't played. Despite the title and subject, I found this a fun departure from spooky, dark games,
This game is lovely. It moves fairly quickly and the HOG and the puzzles are fun, not frustrating. The artwork is clear and the colors bright. I am happy I bought this and I will play it again. I am an Intermediate player who likes games that entertain. This is one of the best.
I enjoy the Faircroft's Antiques series. It was exciting to see another Faircroft game so soon after the last one. However, I was disappointed by this game. The hidden objects are so tiny that I found it difficult to find them. Plus, the hints were not in context. When I hit the hint button I received word clues about what I should be looking for. Cough! Cough! I knew what the item was, I just couldn't see the thing because it was so small. Sigh. I will buy more Faircroft games, I am sure, but not without playing the free trial. The puzzles in this one are the best part, I think. I recommend this game, with reservations.
I purchased this game after playing the promo. I had so much fun. The HOPs were colorful, interesting, and not creepy. I like to play fun Halloween Games, not necessarily the scariest. I'm not a puzzle lover but I played about 60% of these, without skipping them. That's good for me, All in all. A great game, worth the money.
Since so many reviews supplied the full storyline, I will spare you another one and just say that this game surprised me. If you're a real Hidden Object game lover this game will delight you. It has an engaging storyline and wonderful puzzles filled with twists. There are numerous interesting HO scenes and lots of puzzles. I enjoyed the ability to switch detectives as needed, which bumped up the fun factor to the highest level. This is one of my new favorites. Elephant Games designed a winner. The art is beautiful and although it has some paranormal creepy themes (especially the bonus game) it is not one of those dark games that can cause nightmares. (Yes, I am a wuss). This is an amazing game.
I based this review on the full game plus bonus game.
It's so nice to find a real hidden object game with a good story line. Sometimes you want an adventure game with a few hidden object tasks and sometimes you want a hidden object game. This fills the bill for the latter. I enjoyed this game tremendously.
I liked the game...great HOP potential even though the music was a little maniacal. Unfortunately, it shut my laptop down twice when I was looking for the 20 some odd keys. Not good. Deleted it at once. (Sigh)
Love Nora Roberts, love the series, and love the game but the resolution was so bad it limited my enjoyment. It's the first game I have ever regretted buying from Big Fish.
