A great creepy game, but way too short.

True this game is scary and alot of what I look for in a game, but its way too short. I almost was able to beat in in demo mode. I went on YouTube to watch the end scene, I didnt want to buy a game I almost beat in the demo, so I just watch the last little bit of a play through someone else did on YouTube.
If I wasnt able to play about 85% of the game in the demo, I would have given this 5 stars. Even 1 more hour of game play would have helped.
I recommend this game!

The HOS were ok, but I really enjoyed earning the money to decorate and fix the house. You get several choices for each furniture and decoration so you can decorate the house to your taste.
You are a friend of a writer that lives in the city, but she has writers block so she decides different scenery might do the trick. She buys a beat up mansion in the country at auction, moves in and you help her sell stuff at yard sales (The hidden object scenes) to earn the money to decorate and fix up the place.
Its funny how she buys the house, but lets you choose her furniture and decorations, but its pretty fun if you like decorating. I enjoyed earning an choosing furniture more than the HOS, I will probably buy it soon just because I like decorating houses in games. If it werent for the house decorating and customizing, I probably wouldnt buy it on the HOS alone.
I recommend this game!

If you love getting seriously scared and freaked out, buy this. I have been waiting forever for Big Fish to release a game this creepy. Yes I love MCF and the other scary games on here, but this is a whole new level of fear. LOVE the demo, I will be buying this.

This game is very good quality for a single edition. The graphics are beautiful and realistic. There are tons of creepy moments in the game, ghosts, demons, creepy noises and visuals. If you like creepy, this game is for you.
There is a book that opens as the game progresses that tells the story with voice overs. You can do custom settings to make Hint recharge fast and you can turn off the penalty for clicking on the wrong objects in the HOS. You can open the map and rooms that require action at that time will have a red ! on it. You can map jump by clicking on the room you want to go to.
The only gripe I have is some rooms have a loading screen but they are very short, maybe a few seconds or so, but thats not really a deal breaker for me. I really hope they do a sequel to this game.

If you like games that have something all of the sudden appear out of nowhere..... or the screen kind of jumps when you go into a certain area....... or when you click on something, that item animates and makes noises, then here's your game.
This has a creepy factor to it that I love. Click everywhere cause some things have movements and or sounds. Actually, I think I just had to hover my mouse over the items in the game, like a rocking chair on the porch. I wont say anything else so I dont ruin what certain things do.
No penalty for wrong clicking, Map in your book that tells you where an action can be performed and where you are, pretty sure there is no Map teleporting, but thats ok..
I like games that make you jump every now and again from seeing something suddenly appear, or clicking something and a sudden action happens, and this game does it. Just pay attention to your surroundings, and click what you can.
I recommend this game!

If you love really creepy games like I do, this is the game for you. I played through the whole demo until it thanks you for playing. More eerie than most on here. My advice to get the best experience is play at night with the lights out and have headphones with good sound quality.
Not sure what happens after the demo, but the demo had plenty of creepy factors. Kids singing creepy lullaby like songs, eerie sounds and scary talking sometimes when you change locations. This is a MUST HAVE in my opinion. I have 2 credits in my account that I will be using to get this game today, but will wait til tonight to play. I think scary games are way more fun to play at night. in my bedroom with the lights out.
****P.S. IMPORTANT**** : Make sure you click anything you can, there are drawings of animals, stick figures and other things on walls and other surfaces you need to click for animation. Some things dont have to be clicked, but it adds to the experience. There are these bobble clowns that are on the floor you can interact with and when you do close ups on the walls and other places, if there are animals, dolls, toys, rocking horses or anything else, click it. Some things do nothing but others do. Sometimes its a sound and movement or something else. So just click on different things to see what happens.
I recommend this game!

I liked this game pretty good from what I could tell about the shortish demo. You go on a honeymoon and there is a Zombie virus outbreak. Graphics are good and so is the sound. My only real complaint is some areas when you are inside and go outside, or outside but then go in a building, there is a black screen for a short time, at least on my computer anyways, I have Windows 8 so unsure if that is the issue or if its the game itself.
Overall I did enjoy the demo and will use one of my free game codes for it. But I probably would still buy it even if I didnt have a few free game codes piled up.
I recommend this game!

Collectors Edition quality in a single edition game. A witch has taken your daughter and you have to not only get her back, but help others along the way that have been turned into creatures.
Visually is is wonderful, graphics are clear in both the game in general and in the Hidden Object Scenes so its not too hard to find the items. The game is a definite buy for me.
Music changes in different areas but so far they are all really cool and creepy. I will buy this tomorrow, but now off to bed.
I recommend this game!

Let me start by saying I usually like buying scary, eerie, spooky games, but I really loved this game. I wasnt sure about it, at first. The first few minutes I thought, its a nice fantasy game, beautiful graphics, but I still didnt know what to think about it as far as buying it. But a short time later in the demo I started really enjoying it. After playing the full demo, I realized that it isnt a little girl fairytale fluff game, it has some dark elements to it as well.
You get a camera to take pictures of creatures for a collection. You usually want to do that when you fist encounter them. If you cant at first, keep trying and it will eventually let you at the right time. There are voice-overs in the game andin the cutscenes. Hints charge fairly quickly and there is a strategy guide in the game.
Play the FULL demo before you judge it. The hidden object scenes have items you have to place into the scene instead of having a list of items that you have to find, at least it was this way through the demo. I kind of prefer the interaction in hidden object scenes, versus finding items on a list. For example, it gives you items like say a flower or key you have to put in a vase or keyhole in a box, or just placing an item with its mate.
It is about a girl thats like Cinderella, but with a different name. There are some twists and turns in this story that is totally different than just the classic Cinderella story. Without giving too much away I will say that there are magical creatures, some beautiful and others creepy, that you encounter. Some creatures are helpful, others are not.
I have 1 credit in my stash and will be purchasing another 1 so I can buy this game. This game mixes elements of both dark and beauty but its not too much for the real faint hearted, at least not in the demo. I love fairytales just as much as I love dark creepy games, so this one is perfect for me.
I think the only thing that would have made this game better is screensavers in the bonus items. I like beautiful and/or creepy screensavers more than I care about wallpapers, but the bonus elements it will add to the storyline is a plus. I say at the very least give the FULL demo a try, until it says thanks for playing the demo.

I seriously dont understand how so many have rated this low. I bought the game anyway even with the reviews. I read some that had more positive things to say and even though the demo only had a couple spooky things, if you like SUDDEN SCARES like things jumping up at the screen and fast shadows shutting a door to a room as soon as you go into another, BUY THIS.
I LOVE games that have sudden scares every so often, like something jumping at the screen when you come in a room or looking in a camera or mirror or window and something jumping up or quickly appearing out of no where.
I really really am shocked by the low reviews by so many but there are alot of high reviews too. There is much more to the game than what the DEMO holds, If you like sudden scares Believe me.
I also loved the real actors and I like Leah Thompson to begin with but even if she wasnt in it the game is great in my opinion,. NOT sorry I bought it in the least.
I am midway through the game and going to bed at the moment, have to get up early, heading to my grandmothers for Thanksgiving dinner so I cant play anymore tonight.
Defiantly playing more tomorrow night when it is dark o its more creepy and will have my speakers up.
I recommend the game very much and even though I know you cant please everyone, and all no game has 100 % great reviews, but I honestly dont understand the number of 1 and 2 stars.
AGAIN, if you LOVE SUDDEN SCARES every so often, this is the game. I literally a couple of times each location jumped back and uttered certain words I will not type on this review, when stuff happened.
I recommend this game!
