I downloaded the demo based on the first review, BUT I couldn't play it, very frustrating, was wandering around wondering what I had to do next to the point where after 9 minutes into the demo I was pressing the hint button? The storyline seems a bit vague and why on earth would your son run away like that anyway? After this I quit the demo after 15 mins. There do not seem to be any hogs and I only came across one puzzle, you have to combine items in your inventory but it does it automatically by clicking one on top of the other, which can be confusing when you have a few items with plus signs next to them.Sorry BFG definitely not for me.
As always I will leave the tech stuff to others BUT please do try before you buy.
I don't recommend this game.

Based on 15 minutes of the demo, the game is very slow, the graphics are okay, the story seemed to be interesting but the execution was awful, spelling and grammar mistakes - I managed 15 minutes of the demo and in that time pressed the hint button 3 times as I didn't know what to do next and I consider myself an expert at HOG games. A child may like this as it is very basic and simple but too basic for me. I will leave the technical stuff to others BUT please do try before you buy as each persons tastes are different and some of you out there may even like it. Definitely not a buy for me and I have a free coupon and still wouldn't buy it
I don't recommend this game.

Played the demo and immediately disliked it, very old school graphics, hog scenes and puzzles and the constant speech dialogue bubbles. I lasted virtually all of the demo in the hope it might have gotten better but became so frustrated that I was constantly waiting for the hint to recharge so I could use. Not my cup of tea and wouldn't even use a coupon for it either.
Not going into what the game has or does not have with the tech spec as others out there will do that much better.
However, what I dislike other might like and that's the way the world works - I do suggest that you try it first though before you jump in and buy as you might be disappointed.
I don't recommend this game.

I have bought and played every game in this series but OH DEAR was disappointed with this one. Had finished the whole game in 3.5hrs including the bonus chapter.
Ho's were fab and different but I felt the game lacked cohesion and I agree with a few other reviewers that is felt like it had been thrown together with scenes from other games in the series.
The map was very annoying and switched off the sound altogether as found the music and voice overs annoying.
Not worth a CE price tag for it though and this series deserved abetter finale.
BUT all said and done try it for yourself and see what you think
I don't recommend this game.

Review is based on completed game.
Loved the game, very easy going to play and unlike some other reviews it's not Disney you know! As for the artwork I think the Grimm brothers would approve. This is meant to be a fun game which it is.
Hog scenes very easy and not cluttered, mini games not too hard and all in all a very enjoyable game to while away a rainy afternoon.
Take it for what it is a twist on Hansel & Gretel and enjoy it, the game really does make a nice change from all the dark and broody games that we have been getting lately.
I recommend this game!

I played 30 mins of the demo and honestly couldn't play anymore. Black screen in between moving locations took longer than usual, map was interactive, hint button just gave an annoying "nothing to do here", penalties if you click too much in either a puzzle or HOS scene. HOS scenes very basic and very easy to find items, got a bit fed up trying to find where to go next and you have to use objects in your inventory together but nothing to tell you this though.
Storyline sounded very good vampire meets girl and wants to be human as he is in love but could have been a lot better.
Puzzles very easy, graphics very basic, turned the sound off as the music and voiceovers were very awful and annoying. Overall would suit a beginner (possibly) but there are many more better games out there that I will spend my pennies on, not for me.
I don't recommend this game.

I played the beta of this and bought as soon as it came out, bit disappointed with the length as I only bought it 3 hours ago and I am already in the bonus chapter, played on casual but haven't skipped any puzzles or used hints in the game should be longer for a CE.
Overall though brilliant game, great graphics, fantastic storyline, the bonus chapter is integrated and you just get a pop up on screen telling you that you have started the secret chapter!!!
I recommend this game!

Very old and outdated not fun to play did not even finish the demo. Given the technology we have today this made me feel like the games used to be many many years ago.
I definitely will not be buying

I played the demo in less than the hour and found the game enjoyable. HO scenes not too crowded but some things can be hard to see as per previous review moon and matchstick, this game is more for a beginner or a rainy afternoon to wile away a couple of hours.
Gameplay itself is very basic and there is no book to keep track but honestly you do not need one.
I have a game voucher and will use that for this game but would not buy the game outright though.
I recommend this game!

I love Hidden Object/adventure games and I consider myself to be a bit of an expert as I have been playing for quite a number of years and was looking forward to playing this one, but I did find the HO scenes too crowded and would have been nice if the map had been interactive as there is a lot of going backwards and forwards. I found the game to be very slow and a bit muddled, on the plus side it has beautiful graphics and a very good storyline but unfortunately was not my cup of tea.
I don't recommend this game.
