What I liked: The western cowboy theme What I disliked: everything else. These game creators definitely need to get an American to edit their narration. It's so abysmal that it actually ruins the game. For example: "During my stay in Venice I got from Luca great souvenir - he knew that I love such things. Handy made, beautifully ornamented puzzle with his dedication immediately became one of my the most valuable treasures."
Direct quote. Yes, it said "my the".
The language issue shows up in the hidden object searches as well. The descriptions often aren't quite the object. For instance, "candlestick" is actually a candelabra. A "prong" was a pair of tongs. A "clothes peg" was a clothespin.
As far as the game itself, it's just boring. The HOS's are repetitive and the puzzles in between are dull and stale.
But I guess if you want an authentic "1800's Russian comes to the Wild West" experience, this might be the game for you. Maybe I'm spoiled. Madame Fate and the earlier Mystery Case Files games are so far above this one that it's actually surprising that Big Fish carries it. I'm sorry I wasted my money.
I don't recommend this game.

Mystery Case Files: Escape from Ravenhearst
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.

This game is due to be flushed off my computer after I write this review. Unfinished, which is a first for me. I LOVE the Ravenhearst series, but after a promising start (the car), with this game I got increasingly more distracted by the over- the -top grossness and dark, ugly themes of insanity, torture, child abuse, imprisonment, lobotomies....you name it, it was there. Pop Momma's pimples? REALLY??? Anyway, when it comes to the point that I dread playing a game, well, I hope I have enough sense to quit.
