I can't believe that no one has reviewed this game!
I checked my game file and it seemed that I played "The Others" in 2016, but have little recall of it, except the deserted town and empty toy factory. Now playing this Brightstone Mysteries update, it's a totally new game, and thoroughly enjoyable.
I've used the hint button a bit, but there's a map to keep one from getting too lost.
This is a game that keeps calling me back to my computer, and even giving up a Sunday to see what happens!
I recommend this game!

I'm playing this game for the second time and just wanted to put in my 2 cents.
I love this game! It's quirky, interesting, and different.
The "music" gets monotonous, so turn it off.
It doesn't take too much deep thinking, but it's not a game where you'll get lost and give up.
It's a combination of HO/FHO scenes which I enjoyed.
I recommend this game!

Warning! There is no skip button for the mini-games.
Warning! There is no "walkthrough" via BigFish games.
Warning! Hints are not plentiful but are available if you work for them.
I thought of giving up at several points but, with help from other players, I was able to succeed with completing this game.
It's a big feeling of satisfaction.
I recommend this game!

The initial 2 reviews were discouraging and I didn't think I'd care for this game.
Warning - the scenes in this game scroll from side to side, and some players may become nauseous.
At first the game was overwhelming with SO much going on. But the trial hour gave me a good feel for it and I was hooked. The extra rebus riddles and use of the monocle ended up being my favorite parts.
Yes, you can click past the narration.
I liked the fact that items where hidden in logical settings - BBQ fork in the kitchen, razor in the bathroom. Not vice versa.
Enjoy!
I recommend this game!

I played the trial hour of this on the easiest level and found it only mediocre. I agree with other reviewers that the guide is of little help. I gave up when I used too much time having to search for the final spider.
Yes, the visual aspect of this game is excellent, but if the game is tedious - what's the point?
There's no way I'd pay $14 for this game.
I don't recommend this game.

When I first saw this DD I was excited, especially since the 6 reviews on the download page were all pretty positive. I loaded the trial and, low and behold, I'd already done it before. But I didn't buy it. I wonder why? Based on the great reviews, I paid the $3.00 and now I am sorry that I did.
I understand the game, and have NO difficulty with nausea. However, everything is very sluggish, and the cursor doesn't respond the customary way. It took me a long time to dress those knights in their armor because I just couldn't get the parts to click on. Very frustrating.
Yes, the graphics are lovely, and the story line is nice, but still......
I haven't finished the game by a long shot, but I'll have to wait until I'm in a really patient mood to go back to it. Bummer.
I don't recommend this game.

Seems that I am the first to try this game and to bother giving it a review.
Much work needs to be done to correct the bugs on this game. I only managed to play about 20 minutes before giving up. The game is cumbersome, to say the least. Items picked up aren't there when one needs them and it was nearly impossible to find hidden items (rocks.) One can't click more than 3 times before the cursor swirls telling you to stop clicking randomly.
The story at the beginning is very interesting. 14 children? No wonder she died!!
This game is not worth the frustration.
I don't recommend this game.
