I'm a fan of the Hidden Expedition line of games but this one takes the cake. I love the graphics, the games, the storyline (hello, time travel and history?#. The challenge was not over the top, but I'm okay with that. I enjoyed the storyline so much that a very complex game would have frustrated me. I wanted to move to the next thing. I bought the CE for bonus chapter and the collectibles. Those are always fun for me. IMO, the bonus chapter alone is worth the CE price on this game.
The game has the usual FROGs and collectible fact cards and such. Mini games were things seen before, nothing over the top. I loved that there was no darkness in this game. The villain was greedy and selfish, not evil #like most of the bad guys in our lives). I did know where the story was going before it got there, but I still wanted to know HOW they were going to get to that point.
I have completed this game and could give it no less than 5 stars. The bonus chapter made it worth the CE.
I agree with several of the previous reviewers. Cute game but definitely built with small fish in mind! The challenge is minimal (even with move or time limits) and the colors and movements are very primary and there is no "evil" present as it has already been vanquished and the player is just "restoring" the aftermath. I also think it would help the littles improve counting and logic skills. All in all, a really cute game for kids!
I have all of the "Awakening" games so far and I love them all. This one does not disappoint, and I'm looking forward to the obvious next one. Love love the graphics, very well done.
Loved the artwork and the story (possible spoiler)

I have completed the game and (like the ones before it) really enjoyed it. There are two things I don't understand. 1. Why I still have the shell to call my whale friend if I can't call it from the dock or the whale room. 2. The "Island is mine" and I can explore it at will now, and that's fabulous. I love being able to go and look at the incredible artwork. But why is the Empress alone? She freed her people, shouldn't they be AROUND or something?
I'm more about the story than the Zem #meh# and I loved the story.
I play a lot of BFG and buy quite a few, but rarely do I get into a demo and know I need to buy the game right away. I really enjoyed this one. Beautiful graphics, music not annoying, none of the scary/dark/freaky stuff but a nice storyline too. I felt some of the ending coming before it got there, but it still didn't spoil it for me. There is a huge open end for a sequel and I liked that too and look forward to it. This game (with the bonus) took me over 6 hours.
I love the Awakening series. One of the only series that I've bought every game. This game is just as beautiful and fun as the previous. Love Ran and the pocket dragon. If you've never done the other games in the series, some things are not going to make any sense. Bravo to the developers, awesome job on the artwork and the music. VO is pleasant as well. Not a lot of HOS but quite a few different puzzles throughout.
Discover the fabulous secrets that a jungle hides in Adelantado Trilogy: Book One! Help the brave and noble officer, Don Diego De Leon, to find and save the lost expedition.
except for the cavemen. LOL I enjoyed the game. Reminds me of My Tribe and such, but I got tired of waiting to be told that I needed to do something obvious, not being able to demolish buildings that were no longer needed to reclaim land and resources and the cavemen. Oy. It was fun, and I bought it and played it all the way through. Just wish some things were less annoying about it.
I am a fan of Match 3 games so looked forward to giving this one a try. Marble shooters are not among my tops, but hey, I'll give it a whirl. Bored me to death. Not enough movement, just wore me out. Played through the demo, but that was enough for me. Graphics are good, music was okay, but gameplay was tedious.
I really liked the first Lost Inca Prophecy, so bought the second one within a few minutes of demo. It's a good Match 3 (or 4 or 5) with two modes of matching. It's timed, but if you don't finish within "time" you just get 2 stars instead of 3. It is a floating board which I actually enjoy. Not an exciting story line, no anticipation of what comes next, but over all I can spend a long time just matching and zoning out.
Well, I love Austen. This game does not do justice to either the story or Jane LOL. If you have never read the book, you will be confused by the random characters, never named, that appear and disappear. If you know the book, you will be somewhat befuddled by the hopscotch of the story. The game itself is a low challenge, moving around to find pieces in several places kind of game. More time than effort is needed. I went ahead and bought it because of the subject matter and wish I had saved the credit. Over all, if you don't mind the story being fractured, the art is nice, the music isn't annoying and the game is easy.
