It's very rare to have an uplifting story where people mean well and the town comes together to solve the problem. It was also visually appealing, and the puzzles were interesting. I wish there were more games that were positive like this.
I like all of the Vacation Adventure games, but the people are the same every time, as is the music. It would be nice to change it up. It seems they attempted to make it a little different by adding an excursion to Puerto Rico, so that's cool. At the end, however, the "bonus" game was basically them telling you to go back and play the "extreme" version, which is the same game all over again, instead of a true bonus. Kind of a ripoff.
If you want to play a game that pops you from one room to the next in between each and every item you pick up, and needing to use hints to figure out where the heck you are, go for it. Gamemakers are getting lazy. The games are all the same. Some evil nonsensical storyline with no creativity to be original. Skip this one. It's more frustrating than fun.
My favorite game series, along with the Vacation Adventure Cruises. I do wish they'd change the music, as I've played every game they have. It's time to change the music. I loved the addition of the constellations this time. Keep making these!
What in the living name of Tannenbaum? The people are lame, the music is annoying and not German. I muted it. And you have to keep playing the same scene over to get enough stars to open another land. I tried to hang in there, but it was just bad. I lived in Germany and this didn't make me nostalgic.
I haven't found a game to sink my teeth into like Myst or Syberia in the longest time. So many junk HO games that make no sense (a pepper hidden on a wall??? really?? and other nonsense) that I was beginning to lose hope. UNTIL THIS!!!! I can't believe someone finally gets it and has made a true adventure game. Everything makes sense and goes together. You aren't given much to go on and have to truly think things through, as if you are actually stuck in this facility in the Antarctic. GET THIS GAME. No other explanation necessary.

I really liked this game. I was hesitant at first, because the title makes it seem like just another overly dark HOG with no real storyline. I was pleasantly surprised though.
The storyline is very tight. It actually pulls at your heart a bit at the end. I also like that there are no frequent reminders nagging you to do something through the game. It allows you to sink into it and immerse yourself in the scenes at your own pace. The HOGs are difficult and very good. The music is understated and therefore better than usual.
The visuals at first seem a bit antiquated, but the truth is they end up being really nice and even remind me a bit of Machinarium, if you know that great game.
I wish there were more games like this one. Well done!
I liked how the storyline followed the actual novel. I also liked that there wasn't the typical sinister aspect. It was a well thought out and enjoyable game. Please make more like this.
You've returned from school to visit your father at his famous Jazz Pepper Club during Mardi Gras, but everyone is hypnotized. Have they heard the wrong note?
This game was enjoyable from beginning to end. I liked the New Orleans flair and jazz music. The puzzles were interesting and the storyline was good. Very good game overall.
