This is a great game for people who love goth environments but not exclusive...I do not understand the restriction note btw. High quality graphics...I would live in such a manor, which incidentally does not have dead animals trophies everywhere on the walls. Real challenging puzzles..at last...and the music from Nox Arcana, just mesmerizing !! This game does not compare to any other. Definitely calls for a sequel.
You've returned from school to visit your father at his famous Jazz Pepper Club during Mardi Gras, but everyone is hypnotized. Have they heard the wrong note?
This is just a fantastic game. The music is mesmerizing, the graphics are superb and the HOs, challenging yet not breaking the game rythm and different from most others. Can't wait to try the others in the series.
I just loved this game ! No infantile animal mascots, no gross blood splurting torture instruments, no booby females. Just a straight story with an interesting level of difficulty for games and environments some of which, allow two ways to get access to.
I usually always try the game first. But for an obscure reason, I found the comments very interesting...regarding the graphics notably...so bought it right away. It was at a reduced price luckily. What is all the hype about ? Graphics ? Amaranthine has way better graphic quality. And all those chatty interruptions. Plus bimbos. Did not play long enough to find their usual companions: animal traps or torture device. Boring game.
Finally, a game with no torture equipement and animal traps (except for mouse...nothing's perfect) and that remains thrilling. No stupid looking pets either. Great music for sure !!
HOS were at the level they should be; not the central focus of attention since they serve to acquire Tools to pursue the adventure. Speaking of which, the use of some Tools was challenging.
I liked the spellls preparation but not so much the end result. That being said, no gore happpenings. so I am not complaining. The ending is quite of abrupt however.
I was returning to do a bit more of the game because I felt like being in that world, not because I had bought the game and needed to complete it..
I recommend this game!

I do not like match three games that you need to click to move the pieces. I enjoy more when I can slide the pieces. Too bad.
I loved this game. The plot had unexpected moments which delightfully surprised me. First time with BF games.Graphics might not be HD but HO are not eyes straintening. I felt I was exploring places and not a continuous basement.
