I didn't expect to like this game because the first Madame Fate did not thrill me. But I am a huge fan of Return to Ranvenhearst and I consider that the greatest game of this genre. So it was an unexpected surprise to see this game with a great storyline that brought back the evil Dalimer's and all the weird challenging puzzles that make you go "who on earth thinks these things up???" Escape from Ravenhearst was a bomb. This gives me hope for more good things to come.

If you played the first Northern Tale game over and over and wished there were more levels then you will not be disappointed. I gotta give the creators alot of credit for making a sequel without ruining it. This is the same game, they didn't change anything that was there but they did add some interesting stuff like the lizardmen and the fishing for hams that are cute and fun. For this type of game I really want it to just continue on, if I want a completely different game I will buy a different game. They even built on the music in an interesting way without changing it. I'm happy.

I thought this game would be like Northern Tale but after playing for a little while I was bored. I also got upset with the use of the term midget and turned the game off because it made me feel uncomfortable. To some that is a derogatory term and has nothing to do with Vikings. Big Fish should filter these games a little better. This is the first game where I feel like I deserve my money back.
I love this game. I have games that I get bored with and don't finish, games that I play once and delete and games that are keepers because I play them over and over. This one is a keeper. Will definately play this one more than once. Loved the story and the characters in this one. Not so horribly challenging that you get frustrated. I would buy the CE version because the philanthropy is so much fun.

This is a darling game and I don't mean that it's childish, it is challenging. I love the rats. Graphics are great, puzzles are gun and story is interesting. Fun to have a game to curl up with over the holidays.
Don't compare to original Phantasmat and you will like it

Sequels are seldom better than the originals but this one is a very good game and worth playing. Just don't expect it to be like the fist Phantasmat because this is a completely different story and the original is a very hard act to follow. But it stands on it's as a fun game.

I love this game! The best games for me are the ones I go back and play again and this one I gravitate to over and over. Great music, great characters and great story. The town has a creepy old fashioned feel that takes you back in time. Can't say enough good things.
I recommend this game!

This was the first hidden object game I played and was hooked. I got so mad when the game was over because I thought there would be more to the story! The sound is great. I get bored with straight hidden object games these days and like the more complicated stories but never get bored with this one. Highly recommend it especially if you have never played a hidden object game before. There is something just kind of classic about this game for me.
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.
Don't let this game keep you from playing the other MCF games, they are better

I was really excited for the new Ravenhearst sequel, and the first act was great, after that not so much. I do like the morphing objects as something new. And I loved the nod to the original scenes and puzzles. The puzzles in this one are the same great challenges. But for me the story line completely fizzled out. I loved the classic dark creepiness of Return to Ravenhearst. The writers got lazy in this story relying on the ick factor rather than working to come up with another classic story. The strategy guide is helpful. Not sure I will play this game more than once though and I played Return to Ravenhearst over and over and that is what made that such a great game for me.
I don't know what it is about this game but it was hard to finish and it got boring toward the end. It started out good. It is a good game and one I would put at the top of the list but the missing students theme has been a little over used and for some reason I am not as big a fan of stories that take place in the snow! Too cold for me I guess. Definately worth a try.
