I found this one to be easy and challenging (a good balance). It had beautiful scenery, backgrounds and foregrounds. The music was good quality, though it sounded sad and distressing, and played only in certain places, including all HOG levels. It was good for passing time, like many casual games.
The story involved snow white, albeit she and many others are dead. The place you are in looks to be virtually unpopulated. Not to mention there is ice and snow everywhere. There are no living dwarfs either, only lawn gnomes. It's kind of scary and sad at the same time.
This game was creepy because the music and sound was that of a horror movie. There were many levels that I had to go through and the whole time the same errie music, with a ghost voice. It was just one HOG level after another and it just got boring midway through. Overall, i've seen better.
It seemed like a pretty good game, given the challenge of it. The HOG levels were easy and mini games were not that difficult. It levels where you find roses is not to hard and I got through them quickly. One thing I did not like was having to go back and forth constantly without being able to get to a location just by clicking on it on the map. It wasn't always clear how to get from one step to another either. Overall it was a very entertaining and somewhat intense game, and wasnt too long either.
For this game I must say it was it was a beautiful game, graphic and soundwise. The environment was extremely realistic- the levels all had shiny, high def surfaces. and some of the outdoor backgrounds were actual photographs of mountains, beautiful. The story is well put together and is suspenseful, and a bit horrifying. The characters' design and appearance was alright, even though they sorta looked like dolls.
Personally I enjoyed the graphics more than anything, but mystery is also enjoyable. I admired Bridget for her tenacity, and felt like I was actually with her.
In this game I have found easy HOG levels, and the scenes and backgrounds are very well-made. The dialog is definitely creepy, that is, Brandon and the swamp demon, and the atmosphere in some levels is chilling. It does require that you go back forth alot, but it's easier to use the map to get you there instantly. The story is chilling, and I found some it disturbing, and I'm not familiar much with the Grim Tales saga either. It is a long game though, almost too long, and I needed the strategy guide many times to help me figure out what to do next. It's not always obvious what to do. Overall I found this game challenging, riveting and enjoyable.
Compared to Grim Tales The Wishes, this game has a better theme and somewhat clearer gameplay. Hints recharge more quickly and it's not difficult to figure out you next task. The graphics are pretty much the same though. You also have to travel frequently at time from level to level. Overall, this is a fine game.
Of all HOGs I have ever played, this one was perhaps the darkest and most disturbing. The theme of demons and possessed children is to dark for my tastes, and I'm almost sorry I downloaded it. The gameplay is also a bit to challenging having to constantly go back and forth. It's so annoying.
Based on the free trial, this game was easy in terms of navigation and HO levels. You can use thew map to travel instantly to any location (which I like in any HOG), and hidden objects are very easy to find. The psychic theme of the game is strange and it seems to go into the psychology of the human mind. In real life, I don't believe in psychic people, but I think this is a better HOG than others.
