There will be some of you who will be mad (I am trying to put that kindly) at me for submitting a review on a game I did not even download. I have never done this before and, hopefully, will never do so again. However, the Grim Tales, without Richard, is not the Grim Tales. For me, he is the main character and I look forward to every time he appears in the game. I don't know what the developers were thinking.

I was almost put off by the early reviews. Thankfully, I downloaded the sample to find out for myself. In the future, I would recommend that the developers have less dialogue or make it easier to speed through it because this woman talks entirely too much and way too slow. Having said that, I have really liked this game. I think this is the first time I have come across a game that the hidden objects are to be found in the entire scene rather than just some sparkles that appear in a closet or some smaller space. I also really like the story line.
Agent Sarah, famous police detective, is called by the Chief of Police to solve yet another unsolvable crime in this captivating hidden object adventure game!
I thought this game just came out but it seems like it is from 20 or so years ago. It did not ask me for a name or give me a level of play, for example, casual, hardcore, custom. I could not get past the opening scene to find objects because it required a scroll wheel on the mouse. I don't have a scroll wheel and, try as I might using the side buttons together, separately, etc., I could not go forward. Also, it did not give me the option of skipping the tutorial.

I love hidden object games and this is one of the most difficult so far. However, it would be nice if it was clear if you had already played one of the areas. Also, there seems to be a type of breakdown in communication and spelling. For example, "envelope" is spelled "envelop." Not the end of the world but an item is called a "saw" but the item is actually a "blade." The item is called a "purse" but the item is actually a "wallet." The item is called a "sledge" but the item is actually a "sled." And I am not even half way through the game. These are things that really should be corrected if they can be at this late date.

Granted, I only finished the demo but I really enjoyed it. Was it really scary? No. However, the story line was clear, the hidden objects and mini games were fun and I always love being around James.

I have been a member of Big Fish Games since April of 2010. Over that time, I have purchased almost 400 games. This would rank in the top three. The hidden object scenes are great and the best part is the puzzle scenes where you have to figure out what to do first to go to what you need to do next and so on. I have had the most fun playing this game. I so hope that they do a Mystery Case Files: Rewind II.
I have played at least 200 games and this one was excellent. The story line was clear, the puzzles were varied, the music was dead on and it was so...much...fun! I cannot recommend it enough.
