For 25 years, you thought you had no family. But one night, a man steps through a mirror from another world, claiming to be your uncle... changing your life forever.
Not perfect - but pretty close to it. One of the best HO games EVER!!!

This is one of the only games I didn't "Skip" through. The artwork is amazing, the story interesting (without going on and on) and the music is relaxing. I usually skip through all of that and just go straight to the game and rarely listen to the music. This game caught my interest immediately and kept it all the way through the game. It took me several days to play all of the game and I actually looked forward to getting a few minutes to play. Even my dog liked watching and barked at some of the action scenes!
There are lots of descriptions of the game already so I will stick to describing the stuff I liked about it:
1. The HO scenes were visually clear. Some games are so blurry or have so much stuff, I start to dread them after a while. 2. You know from the beginning of the game that you need to also find the leaves and whether you have found all of them in each scene. Even though most of the good HO games have something unique to look for, sometimes it is not clear what it is until you have been playing for a while. Then you have to go back through the game to find it. Typically, there is no way of knowing how many are in each scene or if you have found them all. It is so annoying to get to the end of the game only to realize you missed one or two and that you can't go back to find them without replaying the entire game.
3. Lots of mini-games that are new and different. Some are really easy and some are harder, but there Is a great variety of games. Sometimes I had to re-read the instructions after I tried to play, but eventually they were all solvable.
4. The flow of the game is excellent. In some of the HO games it seems like you just get into a groove when a mini-game or HO scene interrupts it. In this one, it all seems to flow beautifully.
5. Gives you just a little more. After finishing the game and the bonus game, there is a hidden chapter. Even with all that, I wanted more and hated to see the game end.
Playing this game was like reading a really great novel - you get totally immersed in the game and want it to go on.
I recommend this game!

I love Virtual Villagers games and had avoided this game because it looked too "cute." Boy, was I ever wrong! I completely fell in love with the adorable characters and especially liked the way they stayed on task (unlike some of the V V characters). The storyline actually lead to an outcome for the characters (with V V once the puzzles are completed, etc., the villagers just keep on running in the background of your computer unless you remove the game). The tasks were challenging, but not impossible to figure out or accomplish. I didn't have to find a "walk through" just to be able to move on in the game.
I hated it when the game ended and wish they would come out with another one. I keep on the lookout.
