The good part of this game was the storyline. It was engaging and kept me wanting to keep playing just to save the souls and to help the little girl. So, good job there.
The frustrating part of this game was the HOGs. Many of the objects were not just difficult, but almost impossible to find. Examples: a piece of wheat that looked like a stain in a box, a object called 'bullet', that turned out to be a rock, A shovel that could only be seen by it's handle, and even though I had clicked on it, you had to click a certain part of the handle for it to be picked up. Many of the objects were the exact same color as it's background, so that made it hard to find. I could go on.
Point is, that many casual game players tend to be more mature and many of us have to wear reading glasses. Playing casual games is one of the ways I wind down after working all day. Making HOGs this difficult is just frustrating.
So, if future games could be tweaked to keep us in mind. It would go a long way to bringing the games to a 5 star in my mind.

The storyline, art and graphics are very well done. The only reason I gave this 4 stars and not 5 is that some of the HOG scenes and puzzles were a little too hard. Even when I hit the hint button for some objects in the HOG scene, I could barely make out the object. Not with all of them, just a few items.
When I play a adventure game, I'm not as interested in being challenged by a puzzle. I am more interested in being involved in a interactive story. I want to be involved in solving the story. I want to explore the environment.
This game had all of that. Very well done!
I recommend this game!

Really great adventure game. I love that it doesn't rely on a bunch of HOGs. In fact, there isn't a HOG in the whole game. Any more, I view HOGs as being a bit lazy in game development. There are many games out there where it seems like you're just playing the same game over and over again, with just a bit of change with the storyline.
I will almost always buy the game that seems to have put a little more effort in their development.
I recommend this game!

I found that most of those adventure/HOG games are usually good with the graphics, animation, and sound, but most are just following a formula. There are very few that try to think outside the box or add anything new.
*Spoiler*
This game has added a little more with imagination. I loved the girl's drawings that added more to the tale. I was surprised by the imp. I like when I click on something randomly, there is a reaction. In all, it is better than average. I would have given it 5 stars, but it relied too heavily on HOGs and objects were difficult to find. I frequently had to use the hint button.
Overall though, a very good game.
I recommend this game!

I'm almost finished with this game, and I have to say, it has just been average.
The same tried and true HOG adventure game. Different characters, slightly different story line, but other than that, nothing original.
I realize that the artwork and music takes some work, but it just seems that in many HOG/adventure get a little lazy. They have a formula that is used over and over again. I just wish there was a company out there that was will to think a little bit outside the box. I would be willing to pay extra money for that.
I don't recommend this game.

I play a lot of adventure/HOG games. It's my favorite way to wind down in the evenings. That said, many of the games can become monotonous. They often seem to just reuse the same formula over and over again. The title changes, along with the characters names, but it is essentially the same story/game with a slightly different look.
This one I really enjoyed. The story was interesting! I really liked the little details that were added. Such as the mirror puzzle, I realized that the mirror was reflecting the wall! It was things like this that helped make the difference.
I didn't find all of the hidden objects. This game was interesting enough that I may replay it to try and find them all.
Good job!
I recommend this game!

I loved this game. At this point, it is one of my favorites. Of course the graphics and sound was excellent, but what sold it for me was the way the storyline developed. It just really felt like being on a adventure, not just playing a game. Highly recommend this one!

Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.

I loved the first two Ravenhearst games so I went ahead and bought this one. I wasn't thrilled with the demo, but I figured it would probably get better. I was wrong, it got worse. There is very little in the game to know what to intuitively do next. I constantly had to use the strategy guide to figure out what to do. There was no hint button to help out if you just wanted a little help. I also wasn't crazy about having to stare the screen for several minutes trying to figure out what object was changing to find it in the hidden objects. I found this game to be frustrating and disappointing.
I don't recommend this game.
