Compared to the previous versions, this one falls flat. There is no storyline and the crusty characters that I came to like are non-existent. The artwork has changed which further homogenizes everything. Each level is basically the same without much of a challenge. For fans of the previous versions, you might want to take a pass. If you're new to time management games, it would be a good introduction.
I don't recommend this game.

I don't like super-challenging games as I play mostly for mindless entertainment. However, this game was way too easy and way too short. I won all but 2 games on the first play, HOSs were comprised of 9 easy-to-find items and the storyline was kind of lame. Nice concept, poor execution.
I really enjoyed the game strategy, but found the hyper-repetitive fires, building repairs, trade cut scenes and striking workers to be quite annoying.
This one is like getting 3 games in one. The primary game segues into a second game with a different goal and artwork theme. The bonus game takes about as long as the primary game to complete. Will keep you entertained for hours!
