This is from the same developers as the Delicious series and has nothing to do w/ the 'Sally Salon' series many of us know as 'Sally',
With that said, the game is another spinoff the Delicious series, except nowhere near as fun. I love the idea of the Delicious Salon style series but gameplay itself is clunkier and slower in item pickup. The storyline is...AWFUL! Personally I wanted to quit so many times but played it through because I felt I had to. Sally was annoying to the point it was irritating and did kill the excitement of advancing to the next level. You can't fast forward past the music if you want to just see the conversation in the clips, which adds to the frustration. Very cliche gossipy-type of women in a salon talking about their Mr. McDreamy.
This is probably my most disliked Delicious spinoff, next to Mary le Chef.
I don't recommend this game.

I can see why there's so many negative reviews but I don't think it's as bad as many are stating. True the graphics aren't great, but it's not the worst. I almost feel like the game was designed by amateur developers. You don't advance in levels the same way traditionally but rather keep playing to upgrade w/ money, eventually getting enough gold to get to the next level.
Gameplay is simple so far, although I've only played through the demo. People order food or rent room, you cater to their needs, rinse, repeat. I can't see myself actually paying for the game and may consider it when it comes up as a daily deal.
I don't recommend this game.

The game is challenging to get a gold star at each level. Be warned, you CANNOT replay a level so if you think you won't get the expert score, quit the level before ringing out the last customer and try again.
As for the fun factor, there really isn't any. Very repetitive in a boring way w/ not much to look forward to. This is an older game so do keep that in mind. The idea is great and love fashion games. I wish they would consider a sequel but w/ more involvement and ability to replay levels.
I don't recommend this game.

LQ2 plays exactly like the first but without any improvements to the game. Quite disappointing but I couldn't bring myself to give the game 2 stars.
One of the things I was hoping LQ2 would change is the career path. Just like the first, you really don't 'decide' your career. If you want to make money, there's only 1 profession everyone will work toward, since the salary is 2x in comparison to the next highest profession. Another aspect, I wish it was based on 100 days. Yes you can continue to play past the 100 days, but you feel a necessity to rush and that took the enjoyment out of the game.
Overall, buy the game IF it's a DD, otherwise I would stick w/ LQ1.
I don't recommend this game.

This game is older but I've played it couple of times already over the years. It's classic TM style...make the item, add accessories, buy upgrades, buy better equipment, rinse and repeat. For some they may feel this is boring, but for those that enjoy the classic TM style, you will enjoy this game.
Just keep in mind this game is several years old already so the graphics will not be great, but if you can look past that, it's a plus for your collection.
I recommend this game!

I am a fan of the Dark Parables series, but that loyalty is dwindling fast. Since Eipix has taken over, each game release disappoints me more and more.
The gameplay is just like all the other DP games, with puzzles that are not too difficult. This is fine with me since I play the game for the storyline. It's a relaxing, fun series that I can immerse myself into w/ the story and graphics.
That being said, it's the story that really upset me. I like how the previous DP stories had a twist to them, and how they're linked together, someway. Goldilocks had nothing of the original fairytale. Only mention of the 3 bears, bed and porridge was a puzzle game...not even in the storyline. That bothers me! I don't mind a twist to the old fashion fairytale, but when you completely change the story, why bother naming the heroine Goldilocks at all? There's no correlation between her name and the fabled story.
As for the graphics, it was disappointing. Not on the same level as the earlier DP games. It took me months to convince myself to buy this one in the series, esp after being disappointed w/ the previous 'Queen of Sands'. I don't regret buying it on sale, but I definitely would haven't missed anything if I didn't.
If you were disappointed w/ the recent past releases in this series, then you'll be more so w/ this one. Happy hunting!
I don't recommend this game.

Not the best but not the worst TM game out there. It's the classic match the colors, choose the task, line up the tasks, type of TM. Some levels can be challenging but overall a fairly straight forward, easier TM.
Not much of a storyline but it's cute at times...very limited times. I did find it more tedious than most other TM games. Graphics are not over the top but more on the cute, cartoony side. Best to probably buy this on sale, as you may not be as satisfied paying full price for it.
I recommend this game!

There are many great reviews already regarding the game, so I won't repeat too much and bore everyone. Great graphics, great puzzles and it is a psychological thriller. Playing the previous 2 other Ravenhurst games, I have come to dislike the nemesis, Dalimar, over time. But in this game, it was easy to continue disliking him, yet I struggle to also feel a little bad for him.
On a personal note: If you do no like horror or intense, dark thriller games, then don't buy it/play it and rate it low. That's not a fair rating to the game, imo.
Great storyline and trilogy to the Ravenhurst series. Definitely recommend and buy!
I recommend this game!

Some reviewers did not find this game scary but perhaps I'm just a sissy, the game did definitely send chills up my spine and made me jump several times. The HO scenes had a nice twist that each one was slightly different - not just the usual find object on list. The storyline was very intriguing and did keep me guessing from the beginning.
I bought the CE and did not regret it one bit. There is a bonus chapter and you can replay the HO scenes to obtain a gold star. Don't wry if you miss some items or wasn't perfect the first time around, you can retry w/ the CE - not sure about the SE.
Overall, the amount of time it took to finish, and I still have to get gold/achievements, definitely worth getting the CE. Usually I don't strongly recommend anyone get the CE (buyer's choice), but I do believe this game is worth it. Don't skimp on this one!
I recommend this game!

With all the creepy, dark HOs, I thought I would be immune to the 'psychological thrillers'. While most of the game did not bother me, there was still certain scenes that did send chills down my spine...in a good way!
There's not much for me to add that's not been said in previous reviews. Despite some of the negative reviews, I thought this was a great addition to the MCF family. This is definitely not a game to miss!
The only thing I did want to mention, the ending did feel rushed, compared to the rest of the game. That was a bit disappointing, but overall good length game with interesting mini-games. There is a bit of back-tracking w/ items, so if that's something on your dislike list, keep it in mind.
I recommend this game!
