I've always loved the Park Ranger games, but after fourteen of them, I'm still disappointed that they continue to use "Barbie doll" figures for the rangers. Especially since they use real images of actual humans in the same scenes. It wouldn't be that hard to use actual human images for the rangers. It's well past time to upgrade that part of the game. It's dated and makes the game look cheap.
Also, I wish they hadn't put the rangers outside their natural environment, as it were. The whole thing that makes this series different is its setting--National Parks. I play it to relax, and natural surroundings are relaxing.
Another suggestion: stop recycling old stuff for new games. Come up with something new, while remaining in the environment we all love.
Other than that, I continue to love the games.
I recommend this game!

The good: images were clear, visually pleasing, and I like the variety of puzzles and search methods
The bad: it was FAR TOO EASY. No challenge at all with the hidden objects.
I don't recommend this game.

This game was awful, boring, poorly done. So I decided to delete it, but when i tried to uninstall, it said it was still running. I looked in task manger, and the game was not listed there. I tried several methods to get rid of it. Finally, i looked in task manager under processes, further down and found something like "cougar" -something, which seemed to be a process in that game. I end-tasked that, and finally got rid of it. Uninstalled.
Big Fish, please vet your games better.
I don't recommend this game.

as soon as the game started, and tutorial finished, (I think), the game froze and locked up my computer. Couldn't even get to task manager. Had to do window key and sign out that way to unfreeze it.
I don't recommend this game.

Wanted to try this game, but after selecting for every possible OS, i couldn't get it to display properly on Windows 10. Too bad the game developer can't update it.

Not sure why this game only gets 3 stars. It's exactly the sort I, for one, enjoy most. It's not dark and dreary, the graphics pop and are very well done, the scenes are striking and beautiful, the games are not the usual fare. And it's fun. So far, my only complaint would be that I wish it had even more HO scenes. Other than that, this game is excellent, and refreshing departure from the selections out there now.
I recommend this game!

I saw the bad reviews for this game, and have to say they are based on a preference for a certain type of game everyone is used to, and not because the game is in any way inferior. I do wish the game had been longer, but that's about the only complaint I have, since I had to buy the CE, as it was the only version. Still, I will play this one over and over, so that's okay.
Also, some reviewers complained that there was no help for the game--just Google it. I saw several walkthroughs offered.
I know some people only want what they are familiar with, and don't like anything that deviates. I am a huge fan of hidden objects games, and I find this one a breath of fresh air, even though it is not a standard HOG. It is a bit reminiscent of The Incredible Machine (which I wish someone would update and provide again) and Snark Busters (another favorite) where you have to put things together in a certain way to achieve your goal.
A few tips: Some things respond slightly when you click them, but don't react fully, so that's a hint that they WILL be usable at some point, when you unlock a collection of things you must find. That little panel ends up in the upper right of your screen and you can see in a drop down menu, below each collection, a visual of where those items will be used when you've found them all--and they can be in several screens you can move back and forth through. You can tell if one of those objects is NOT in that scene, because the panel of items to collect will be grayed out. That's helpful.
In some HOG games, you are required to link certain items in a scene. For instance: there is a stitched bag, so you find a knife in the scene to open it. There are many of these elements in this game, too.

I liked that it was not the same old thing. It is cute, inventive, challenging, entertaining, and tugs on the heartstrings. But as far as gameplay, it doesn't hold your hand. The hints point out the area of focus, and you can skip the mini-games (but they are all really good) and the illustrations literally draw you a picture and you have to interpret it--which is sometimes its own puzzle. If you give it some thought, you can figure it out.
I admit in the first scene, I almost gave up, but then a few things clicked and I was off. If you stick with it at the beginning, you'll get the hang of it. Everything makes sense after you figure out how things work. The items in each scene have related parts and when you can put them together, you begin to understand how to do that all the way through. While not exactly a predictable HOG game, My Brother Rabbit does require you to use creativity, logic, and to think out of the box. I like that.
The artwork was second to none. Was it photorealistic? No. But this was delightful in that regard. I've become so sick of dark games that tout evil, violence and insipid storylines i care nothing about. Maybe this is because I am the author of 60 books, and character/plot/story are all part of my craft, and pretty important to me. Games are really not about the story, and most of them are terrible in that regard. They shouldn't pretend to be books or movies, when they are neither. So, I'm a little biased about that.
The story in My Brother Rabbit, however, comes close to a real story-sensibility, and that was a delight. I was so pleased to find such an intelligent game, that had a message for the heart. This story was about love and courage and the strength of those things to heal you. As far as I'm concerned, this game deserves an award in about four or five categories. Thanks so much to Artifex Mundi for putting out something with so much heart, that isn't like everything else. (And PLEASE do another one like this!)
I recommend this game!

Played the demo--it was good until a mini game would not let me advance in the game. I hate it when they won't let you skip the ones you don't care for. Especially when i got the right answer, but it somehow wasn't the RIGHT right answer. Very frustrating. This means i won't buy it.
I don't recommend this game.

i play LOTS of HOGs and enjoy most of them...the main issue with this game is the logic--nothing seemed to make much sense. I've never had to use so many hints just to figure out what to do next. it became so frustrating that i stopped playing. Sorry i bought it.
I don't recommend this game.

Personally, i hated that there were so many mini puzzles. it was as though one popped up every few seconds. it was irritating and interrupted the flow of the story. I prefer the adventure part, and finding things (Hidden objects, clues, solutions to advance in the storyline). There were far too many minigames. Otherwise, the game was designed well and graphics were really good.
