The game is very well done, exept for the bunch of unplayable (WAY to impossible) minigames in the bonus game. I liked the story line, and the visuals and voice acting. Also MOST of the gameplay, in the main game was spot on, not to hard, but not easy either. Unfortuately it changed in the bonus game. I had to skip 3 games, I tried to use strategy guide, but even with that, they were unplayable. One minigame required you do one thing, then wait 2,78 seconds (according to the strategy guide) Whats up with that?! How the are you supposed to find that out, without looking in the strategy guide. This beeing said, I would still recommend the game, for people who like a challenge, but to me a bit dissapointing due the impossible minigames (some) in the bonus game.
Extremely well put-together. Feels like you actually are in the house. The mini-games, the hog scenes. By far the best game in a long-long time. The atmosphere is thick, and you actually feel like you're in a haunted house. Kudos to Eipix for reinventing the casual game genre. A must-buy for all who like a different kind of casual game, that simply oozes with atmosphere.
VERY good game in the series. The right kind of atmosphere, the graphics, the sound and voice acting all sublime. The level of challenge is spot on, not to easy, but not to hard either. And, so far, NO guess-infected minigames, which is a BIG plus for me. And the story-line is also as it should be in this kind of game. All-in-all a must buy for fans of the series.
This was a pleasent surprise. No illogical and badly designed minigames (no pure guesswork, trial'n'error crap), but well designed minigames, which were logical, and not to easy, but neither to hard. The graphics were good and atmospheric, and suited perfectly to the gameplay. The voice action also spot on, which is also rare (unfortunately). So her goes:
Gameplay: 6/6 wonderfully designed minigames (with no pure guesswork and trial'n'error crap, which most other of the recent casual games has been infected with.
Graphcis and sounds: 5,5/6 Very beautifull, and fitted the style of game and gameplay perfectly. The voiceacting also spot on (also rare today)
Al-in-Al: One of the best casual games I have played for months
I'm getting very tired of these overcomplex, and thereby boring, games from Eipix, and this is no execption. Bad graphics as usual, and a LOT of uninteresting things you have to do, besides the fact that, this has NO halloween atmosphere to speak of as yet. I haven't played very long, but so far it so boring that I simply cannot play this to the end. The story line, however, is better than usual for a Eipix game and the voice-acting also, but I cannot make up for dated visuals and boring gameplay.
This could have been a good game, if the graphics has been up to today standard, which it, by far is not. Even the first 2 Phantasmat, which wasn't developed by Eipix looks better than this, and played way better. The story-line is good, if not exeptional. The graphics not at all. But the sounds were okay, with good voice acting. But unnecesarily complex minigames was also a turnoff. It's OK, that some minigames are complex and interesting, if it's LOGICAL that they are. Not so here. All-in-all not recommended, for people who played the old Phantasmat, before Eipix took over.
I really liked this series prior to this, since it was very different, and with pleasent puzzles and a very good game design, unfortunately, the graphics has NOT been updated in a long time, it seems, and it really shows. Another bad thing is, that you cannot choose Custom in the game settings, so you have to wait for EVER (more than 2 minuttes(!!) before you can skip a minigame. Simply a scandal that that is not possible. And since I already encountered an impossible (well almost), this is simply a must. But still I would recommend it to people who are patient and doesn't mind the VERY dated graphics.
But unfortunately a HORRIBLE (in fact the worst) minigame i have ever played (the color coded lock) destroyed the intire game for me. A very bad trial'n'error kind with no logic kind, which I hate more than everything. Before that another annoying minigame; the labyrinth which kind I also hate, because it only is about running about a boring maze for way to long. To bad, since the graphics, story line, and acting was superb. But I'll probably play the demo to the end. But I would probably NOT buy this. And I don't recommend this to people who like logic puzzles.
One of the best casual games I have played. Gfx is top notch. The puzzles are a bit different and interesting, maybe a bit on the easy side. But so far a superb game. Also the voice acting is spot on. Maybe the story line is not so different. But that doesn't matter when it's put together as well as this. And nice to see a game NOT from Eipix for a change. This will be a must buy for me.
At first when I saw that a new Spirit of Revenge game was available i was extatic, because this one of the best game series. But this is so EXTREMELY dissapointing. Dated graphics, bad and boring minigames, and the voiceacting is poor to. By FAR the worst in the series, unfortunately. So no recommendation at all from here.
