I first discovered Mystery Case Files when the original Huntsville came out, and have ever since been hooked. I personally own all the games of this series including all the cd's. I'm probably one of the first people that purchase each game the day that they come out.
I love the Ravenhearst story line and have been looking forward to the conclusion of it for some time now. It was a nice change to see the game from Charles point of view instead of Emma and the girls.
Because it's Mystery Case Files, the graphics and sounds and the story line just keep getting better and better with every game. I found some of the elements to the story a little disturbing and creepy, which was perfect for this game.
The only thing that disappointed me, as with others users, is that the Hidden Object Scenes are gone. You only search for Morphing Objects, which just isn't the same. I really missed the Hidden Objects. I liked Madame Fate and Dire Grove where you have Hidden Object Scenes AND Morphing Objects. That's what made this game so great and so popular to begin with... And I know that they want to change the game and try new things, but like I said, it just wasn't the same. Which is the reason why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5.
So in my opinion... This game is totally worth the money and the time. The graphics, sounds and the story line are worth it by itself. Recommended.
I recommend this game!

I just finished played the full collectors edition, and it was worth every penny!!!
It took about 5 hours to finish the game, which is decent time to me when it comes to Hidden Object Games. You get through the whole game which takes a long time as it is, and then it opens up a whole new chapter, which was a surprising twist ending.
The story behind the game was worth it all. You don't understand who you are or what you're doing there until the end of the game and it was worth the anticipation. It doesn't end how you would expect it too. It was really interesting. The story just gets better if you read the journal while you are playing the game.
The graphics and cartoon video clips were good, 4/5. The sounds are amazing but a little repetitive, 4/5. There wasn't much music, which was little disappointing, but the main soundtrack that does play sets the tone to the game very nicely. Kind of creepy and haunting and it worked perfectly with the story line.
There's only one thing that I didn't like too much, the Puzzles that you are required to play weren't really Puzzles. Not challenging at all. They needed to make those a little bit more difficult.
All in all... It was a really good game. Recommend.
I recommend this game!

I just played the hour demo, and I have NO intentions of buying. This game is good for beginners, maybe children between the ages of 10 and 14 that are just starting out playing Hidden Object Games. It's VERY easy and everything is extremely obvious. It doesn't require any thought or skill to get through the game. I didn't click on hint or skip not even once.
The Hidden Object Scenes were very simple and there's no consequence for clicking repetitively. Which means that you can just click around the scene about 30 times and you're done. Takes a grand total of 1 minute to finish Hidden Object Scenes.
.
The graphics are horrible. It looks like it was draw by hand about 100 years ago by a 15 year old and is just now being made into a video game. Games that cost less than this one have better quality graphics. The story of the game isn't even interesting or something you can get into.
You figure that because the game is centered around music that the music would be amazing... Well it's not. Nothing special about it. It sounds like a children's concert at an elementary school. You can create the same music at home if you play an instrument and are a beginner.
Like I said before, this is a good game for children and young teenagers. I wouldn't spend the money on it though if you're a teenager or an adult. Not worth the money.
I don't recommend this game.
