I enjoyed the game a lot,it wasnt too challenging but not so terribly easy as some of them are nowadays. My only problem with it was that the ending seemed very rushed and anticlimactic. Judging by the reviews that was likely because i played the SE and missed out on FOUR whole chapters. Personally it annoys me that they want you to pay double the price of a game to get what is essentially the full version, no just extra content. However that said I would recommend buying the collectors edition, it was fun enough I might have to try it out and see what i missed out on.
I recommend this game!

Its a weird game to review, on the one hand its a lot of fun, good puzzles, pretty graphics. Until you get to the story..the cut scenes are cheesy, the story is cheesy its like a bad B movie made by high school kids! BUT, in a game like this the story isn't the most important factor, its nice, but its not crucial. so I would say try it out just don't expect to be thrilled by whats going on around the puzzles!
I recommend this game!

Sweet Lily Dreams is very pretty and very sweet, but it also has an interesting storyline, a lot to do, and can be very challenging. There are fun extras, for instance, like the crafting of spells and items. A nice touch. You also can own and decorate a house and how you do so actually has an impact on game play. Its certainly become one of my favorites very quickly.
My only quibble with the game is the difficulty level. On Normal it can be pretty hard to actually land an attack, and the bad guys have a lot of hit points, and on Easy its a little..well..easy! Its not that big a problem though since you can switch difficulty levels at at any time.
On another note I am going to stop playing it for a bit while I play Whispers of a Rose. I've discovered that a great many things make more sense that way. Sweet Lily Dreams is a sequel. The characters from Whisper appear in Lily Dreams, and a lot of the game mechanics and game world are explained better in Whispers. I don't suppose its necessary to play one before the other but I would advise it, and Whispers of a Rose is another very good game, also available here.
Regardless I would give the game a big thumbs up. Its not often you see sweet, beautiful and girly work so well. The custom menus the lovely graphics and the adorable characters make the game a joy. And the game play itself is something anyone can enjoy.
I recommend this game!

I think its safe to say the slow movement is really a killer, I kept looking for a way to make the character move faster and thinking "There is no way I'm going to watch her saunter around the room for long!"
I didn't notice there being too much reading or dialogue as some people mentioned. I dont mind a lot of reading in a game anyway, in fact, I rather like it. Nor did the hidden objects seem hard too find. Full screen would've been nice but I could live without that.
I thought it was cute and colorful in a cartoony way and maybe geared towards younger players but I also dont mind that.
What really did it in for me was that as I was looking for way to change the movement speed I noticed there were only very very basic options available so I thought I would check from the main menu. I looked for a way to save, but not seeing one decided there was an auto save, something common in HOG and other games. So I left, went out the main menu, didn't find any more options and decided to try the game a bit more...and found myself back at the start again!
So I don't know, maybe its a check point save, or they were going to get to how you save later in the tutorial..I don't know and I don't care. I'm not going to find out. Usually games bombard you with "Do you want to exit?" "Are you SURE you want to exit?" etc. This one? No warning, no question, no nothing, just went to the main screen, argh!
I really just gave up at that point, shortest trial I have ever given a game..
I don't recommend this game.
