And Why I liked it. No, not as good as Syberia - but I didn't like that one at first - yet ended up really loving it.
There were some glitches but nothing I couldn't get past. And often I was clicking in the wrong place wondering why it wasn't working - so I checked the walkthrough & found out my problem.
Yes I printed out a walkthrough, even checked a couple elsewhere online just to get a better idea at times. Yes you really do need the walkthrough and
YES you need to SAVE OFTEN.
Sometimes I just had to go back to the previous saved to get something right - but since I had already completed most of it, it wasn't so bad. AND WHY you MUST SAVE OFTEN.
I can't say it enough. If you have to go back, you don't want to go back very far.

As for the audio, I don't usually listen therefore was very disappointed that whenever Rodon was talking, there was nothing in writing at the bottom like all the other talking had.
Also my cursor was slow and bugged me But I enjoyed the game & just put up with it.
And I wasn't thrilled with the ending but that's life.

A very nice change from the other 'hidden object' games that I am getting tired of.
I recommend this game!

but not for me. #1 U really need the Walkthrough to actually get started. I played 15 minutes of the Trial. Was great 3D and thankfully not as dizzying as Return to Mysterious island which I bought & hate.
So far pretty good graphics & 3D was nice to a point.
- I did find that by holding down your left clicker you will go faster just by keep it held down.
- I also found if you want to leave a building, go onto a building, or just go around a tree, you much do so just like you might in real life so sometimes I had to backup & go at it at the right angle.
Will be great for some of you. But if you get dizzy even a little - don't buy this game - Or at least check out the Trial.
(just wish I had of had the opportunity of the Return to Mysy-Island.

and fun to play. But can also become frustrating trying to find some of the HOGS. not your typical HOG. Sometimes it gives you names of items to find. other times it gives you a shape to find. Often you will need to use an item you just found to use on another item to find what you need. sometimes a little hard. There are also lots of mini-games to play. You never get tired of doing the same ole thing all the time.
- there were a few glitches in the HOGS in that sometimes I had to double click all over the item for it to connect. But did not hinder my enjoying the game.
- I especially enjoyed this game with no evil spirits, no gloomy scenes, just a male who had gone crazy & wanted to rule earth and the seas after wanting a woman who loved another man.
-Beautiful scenery and -you will find out what happened to Marcus - At first I was thinking "What - did the game mess up".... But kept playing and was all explained later in the game. Very well done.

I gave this a 2 only because I know some like all that interaction. I spent 50 minutes on the Trial & kept thinking all those Chats would end. They didn't.
As for the HOGS & mini-games, I can't remember too much because there was just too much interaction / chats with others.

Wonderful to play a simple-type story without all the darkness & gloom of so many other video games. Was refreshing to play, I see everything clearly - even though there were some challenging HOGs and mini-games. There was some going back & forth and if I forgot, I just used Hint instead of wandering. It was also very nice that when he enlisted, there were scenes with her at the orphanage and totally separate scenes with him on board the ship.
Well worth playing. But if you want the gloomy, dark, blood-thirsty, witches & goblins - Then this game is Not for you.
I recommend this game!
The Queen has chosen your sister as her successor.

Was so much fun to play this games without gloomy, dark, shady areas. The mini-games & HOGs were fun, some harder to figure out or find, some not as hard but still worth playing.
There should be more games like this - instead of all the horrible, ugly, dark & gloomy games.

I believe I have all of the Dark Parables games and love
'em all. I really like that even though this has the 'evil' stepmother, it is not a dark, gloomy game like so many are. Instead, this game has beautiful colorful graphics and the hidden object mini-games are great. I love looking for specific jewels, parts of jewels, crowns, etc. then each of the 3 sections creates an item that will be put together with the other 2 items. Sometimes I think one of these mini-games is going to be easy... hahaha - then I simply cannot find one or two items... and I have to use hint...bummer.
-- Overall a great game for everyone. An adult should play with a young child & explain things - like it is just a game...

Had pretty graphics. nothing dark, evil or depressing. Did have to move around here and there but I used hint a lot to make certain i was going in the right direction & I didn't have to go back & forth too much.

Was very nice to play. Nice graphics. HOGS - some easy, some are hard parts. Mini games - I was not always able to play a few - so just used Skip. Did not take away my fun in playing. And sometimes I used Skip just because I didn't want to play the mini-game.
- as for audio - i don't know because I seldom if ever listen to the audio of any game. Used to try but the music/sounds became annoying......

I will finish the game since I purchased it but it just doesn't have the fun factor that I was looking for.
As for the 'fairy tale' - I still can't see where that comes in. Plus there are just too many HOGS and too much running around - so I use the Hint to tell me which direction I need to go..

Some players really enjoy this game so you might. But I'm not having much fun playing it so I don't play for long at a time.
