It should have been a tremendous achievement, but the tunnel through the Ridge of Leviathan became the site of a great disaster. What really happened that day?
This game had a very interesting story and a proper ending! I would rate it 4.8. The puzzles were different and it was fun trying to figure out the goal for each one. You could play the game in a rather serious way by trying to figure out what to do next or more casually by relying on the map. It is a well made game, not too many HOs, long playing, and had engaging characters and a real story. Actually looked forward to getting back to playing it for several evenings.
Buy this game! You'll definitely get your money's worth!

Longest game I've ever played and I still didn't want it to end! Some of the puzzles were very challenging and required time and thought to figure out, but they were lot of fun to work through and I couldn't wait to get back to them if I was interrupted. Those particular puzzles reminded me of the old mouse trap game where you have to build the solution and one thing affects another. Very satisfying and cool! Really loved this game, it is one of my new favorites.
4.7 rating. This is an excellent game! The graphics, music, and writing were all top quality. The puzzles were good and there were just the right amount of HO's. Not being able to keep tools after using them one time was the one frustrating drawback in this game, especially when you needed a similar tool in the very next scene. I also don't like collecting things before knowing why I'll need them, but that's a minor complaint. Other than that, the game is easy and relaxing (only had to look at the task map once), long, creepy, fun, and the story was intriguing and touching. Love a good story! Overall, a very fun game to play!
Very good game! I'd give it a 4.5 rating. Very creepy story that was interesting to follow. The game play moves fast, lots of stuff to do, and there were a few puzzles that required some thought, but for the most part it was a very easy game. Long playing, too. Not the best game I've ever played, but it provided many hours of good, creepy fun. I'd recommend it.
You've returned from school to visit your father at his famous Jazz Pepper Club during Mardi Gras, but everyone is hypnotized. Have they heard the wrong note?
One of the best games I've played so far. It is an intriguing detective story set in New Orleans with interesting characters, cool art and music. I couldn't wait to continue playing the game whenever I had some free time and was sad when the game ended. Everything about this game was excellent and the story telling was superb. Such fun! I highly recommend it.
I thought this game was just okay, maybe a 3.5 rating. There were very few puzzles and the easiest way to handle the HOs was to click on objects that seemed out of place in the scene. The map was not interactive, but more importantly, it didn't show where tasks could be completed. The map did show the current major objective, but that was superfluous information. The story, graphics, voices, etc. were all fine, the music was annoying, but you could control the volume, and the game play was fun enough to keep me interested until the end. However, nothing was really great about the game, so it just wasn't as fun as other games. This developer, Blue Tea Games, also created Fabled Legends: The Pied Piper which is a great game and one I can highly recommend. This game I would recommend if it's on sale.
I recommend this game!

Every different type of puzzle was in this game which made it so much fun. Plus, although I played the Standard Edition, you get to collect Achievement Rewards which added a fun challenge. I definitely was more careful clicking objects in the HOs and only skipped one puzzle. Playing the game more carefully resulted in a long game, over 8 hours, but it was quick paced with a lot of interesting scenes to explore. The design of this game had some unique elements and I liked that it let you know when a scene was complete and the interactive map showing scenes that needed to be completed.
Very interesting story, not true to the book which was fine, but you have to get used to a more broad-minded Sherlock. There was a lot of dialog between Dr. Watson, Sherlock, and Mr. Baskerville which I enjoyed, but you can skip. This is an older game, but the graphics, sound effects, and voiceovers were very well done and there weren't too many HOs (old type, non-interactive.) Some of the scenes were a little dark, but I can't adjust the brightness of my monitor so that may not be an issue for anyone else. I would recommend playing in the hard mode because 90% of the puzzles were extremely easy. The few hard puzzles added a nice challenge and you can still skip and get hints in the hard mode. Fun game, I enjoyed it.
Both games in this series were great. If you haven't played The Dollhouse Story yet, play that one first because both games are excellent and you'll get the back-story. Both games have well written stories with satisfying endings, This one is just as creepy as the first and has excellent graphics and voiceovers. The game moves very quickly, not too many HOs, and the puzzles were easy but varied and fun. Quality workmanship throughout and a very interesting and fun game to play.
Excellent game! The story, writing, acting, graphics, animation and music were all top quality. Not too many HOs and their placement and junk made sense for the scene. Lots of very unique puzzles and the 3-hint system was great--each puzzle would give you up to 3 hints but one small hint at a time. There was only one puzzle where I needed a hint and it wasn't available. Of course it was quite satisfying when I did solve that puzzle by thinking what I would do in real life if I couldn't unplug a toilet. Ha!
Loved getting to keep and reuse tools which provided another bit of realism and the interaction with real actors added to that feeling, as well. The game wasn't perfect, the villain got SO annoying at the end of game I had to mute it and it needed an interactive map, but overall this was a long playing, challenging, and very fun game set in a beautiful, southern US swamp with just the right bit of creepiness. If you like a well written story and unique puzzles, I think you'll enjoy this game.
Amazing Game! Would give it more than 5 Stars if I could!

Wow, this game was amazing--I mean literally, this game amazed me. This was a very, very long game and the second half was an incredible quick moving adventure. The entire game was smart, really creepy (comes with goose bumps), fun and the story was completely engaging and totally sucked me in. The puzzles were easy, which was fine with me, and some of them were quite unique. There were a few HOs, but not too many and they fit into the story. The game had great scenery and I just realized that I hadn't turned off the music--a first for me which means it must have been appropriate, of good quality, and added to the ambiance. The sound effects were definitely well done, too. Everything about this game was excellent, including the movie scenes which were fun to watch, with good dialog, animation, and voices. This was another 5 Star game from the Artifex Mundi: Premium Adventure Collection. This developer makes some of the finest games...thank you!
