This may be one of the strangest games I've ever played. The storyline started out very normal and then veered off into some oddball place that I wasn't expecting in the least. I'm not even sure I really liked the outcome, but I'm still reeling from where the game went. I read other reviews that said it was weird, but I had no idea how truly accurate that was going to be. I suppose it was meant to be clever or quirky, but I just found it a bit off-putting.
As far as gameplay goes, this one was fairly simple. It is a timed game, but none of the HO scenes or the mini-games took me longer than 2 minutes, so completing the game in the time frame needed should be easy for almost anyone. The graphics aren't the best though so I did have to use a hint in one or two of the locations.
Also, I wasn't too crazy about the music. It was vaguely Christmas related as I caught a few tunes that were definitely from Christmas songs. But most of it was just haphazard and odd, fitting to the game, I suppose.
I definitely wouldn't pay full price for this game. If you're like me and just want to play all the Christmas games you can, then get it as a freebie or with a credit.

I really enjoyed this little Christmas-themed game. It's full of bright colors and cute animals. Definitely seems very family oriented, with just enough of a challenge to keep older kids or adults entertained.
Nothing really difficult here, hidden objects, some items that need to be used in other locations; there actually is a pretty good amount of things to do, but no challenges that are overly hard.
After being disappointed in a few other small Christmas games, I wasn't expecting much here. I was pleasantly surprised. I only wish the game was a little longer, but I really liked this one quite a bit.
I recommend this game!

This is the sort of game that is really only great at Christmas time simply because everything involving Christmas is fun then. I got this game with a credit and during a buy one get one promo, so that was OK. But it wouldn't really be worth it if you are spending full money on it.
For starters, the game is incredibly short and was over in no time flat. There are a lot of HO scenes and all mini-games are extremely easy to solve. I suppose this is sort of geared to a younger crowd, so that might be a good factor for kids who want to play the game. I will say there were a few things hard to find in the HOs, but only because you have to find a hot spot to locate about 4 objects on each board. And that hot spot (which presents itself as a magnifying glass) can sometimes be difficult to hit.
The graphics are pretty and the world you enter looks incredibly interesting, but you spend almost no time exploring it and everything is really just made to look at and not interact with. There was so much more I wanted to do at the North Pole village, but I felt like I was in and out of there in a matter of minutes.
The music is actually extremely well done and quite beautiful. I never expected to hear selections from the Nutcracker on such a small game, but there it was nonetheless.
I suppose I would only recommend this game over the holidays. But then again, maybe that is the only time people want to play Christmas themed games. Still, there are definitely some Christmas games that are SO well done, they can be fun to play in the middle of July. This one just isn't one of them.

I hadn't played this game for awhile, but just recently went back and tried it again. On second play I decided this game is just a heck of a lot of fun.
There is nothing overly difficult here, but you can certainly up your challenge level by playing a timed game. If you take too long searching for HOs in timed mode, you won't get as much money and can outright lose a sale altogether. But if you prefer, you can just relax and play a laid back hidden object game, taking as much time as you need to seek and find.
The second part of this game is fixing up your garden, which is fun as well. As you progress in the game, you get to choose more and more pieces, everything from flowers to a gazebo, to make your garden beautiful. You also get to name a darn cute little puppy and watch him roam the grounds and interact with your butler, Austin.
The colors and graphics are beautiful both in the rooms of the mansion where you search and out in the garden you remodel. My only minor complaint is at some point, without any mini-games to play, doing nothing but looking for hidden objects can get a bit tedious. Still, it's not enough so to really take away from the enjoyment of this game.
I recommend this game!

The Christmas Wonderland series is a lot of holiday fun, and I seriously think they get better every year.
There is nothing really hard or difficult about this game, just a lot of hidden objects with a little mini-game after each level. It's very family friendly and filled with bright colors and holiday cheer. Just a nice lighthearted bit of festive fun.
I recommend this game!

Personally, I liked this one. While I agree with some other reviewers that this isn't my favorite of the Christmas Stories games, I still found it an enjoyable way to pass the time.
None of the mini-games were overly challenging, and they definitely may be geared more to the younger set, but again, I found them to be fun.
As always, the visuals were excellent. Bright and colorful, they certainly added to the holiday mood. The evil Christmas spirit wasn't too spooky; actually, she reminded me an awful lot of Cruella De Vil. And she wasn't enough to take away from the rest of the pleasant little world.
The storyline was interesting and it incorporates the story of The Gift of the Magi by O. Henry, as well as a few other stories that have pretty happy Christmas endings. Overall, this was a fun little game that I could see myself playing again next Christmas.
I recommend this game!

This is definitely lower on the HO game scale. There are plenty of hidden object scenes, but the graphics aren't the best, so it's a bit harder to see the things you need to see. I almost never use hints in games, but I found myself needing to use them in this, simply because I couldn't see the object. And with no rewards or accomplishments issued for not using hints, it really didn't matter to me one way or another.
Storyline is OK, but it's not overly compelling either. The end of the game claims that it will be continued, but I don't know if it ever was.
There is a timed version, which might add to the challenge, but this is not really a game that has an extraordinary replay value, so I didn't try it.
I got this game as a freebie and that's really the only way I would recommend it.
I don't recommend this game.

I actually got this as one of many bonus games when I bought a completely different title on a disc. And it quickly became my favorite game on the CD; even more than the one I meant to buy.
This is a fragmented hidden object game, which is a nice twist from the usual. There are some mini-games, but none of them are that hard and most have been seen in some form before. Still, that didn't detract from how much fun this game really was. Some of the objects were a little difficult to find, but most could be discovered with a little bit of perseverance, as the graphics are fairly decent. And there is a clue available that takes only a short while to recharge.
There can be a bit of a challenge sometimes in figuring out exactly what to do, but if you switch from location to location on the map, it can definitely be figured out without using a hint. And the character you play as, Alex, will generally prompt you with dialogue if you get stuck and start clicking on what you think you should be doing.
There are cards that you collect as you move through the game, but they aren't hidden in a location. Instead, they a part of a HO scene which you go to after completing all other tasks on each level. They are objects pertaining to whichever profession the card displays; for example on one level you search for objects a doctor or a soldier might use.
The storyline is pretty good, even if a little fantastical, and is interesting enough to follow on your first time through. Almost every scene is skippable, if listening to dialogue isn't your thing.
I definitely liked this game and found this one to be a hit. Even after all these years, I still enjoy playing it, so the replay value is pretty high for me. As it is an old game, give it a try if you're looking for something to use a game credit on. Definitely worth it!
I recommend this game!

This is definitely one of the older games out there, but it's still worth a look. At the very least, it's a rather enjoyable little hidden object game with a rather familiar, but good, storyline.
The graphics aren't the best, at least in full screen, and there are a few hard to find things on the outskirts of the screen. You do get penalized for over-clicking, but you are also able to get a hint on each board, and you don't seem to lose much of anything by using those clues. Also, if you pass the cursor over the name of the object you are looking for, the outline of the object will appear with no penalty on you. If you click on it though, you will wind up using one of your hints, so avoid that unless you are sure you're ready to give up.
The challenge level is fairly simple, and the mini-games pose almost no difficulty, but the HO scenes are decent. There are only so many locations you can visit, so you do spend a lot of time going back to sites you've already been to, making finding any recurring objects really easy to locate. There is an opportunity to play a timed mode which might add a bit of a challenge to the game.
The storyline is, I think, a lot of fun. Most of us have heard the legend of Sleepy Hollow in one form or another, so we don't really learn anything that new, but it's presented really well and makes watching the cut scenes a pleasure.
The end of the game does say to be continued, but if it's ever been continued, I've never run into it.
Still and all, this is a relaxing little game, nothing too difficult. So if you're looking for a way to pass a little time and want to use a credit on something, give this one a chance.
I recommend this game!

Not nearly as good as the first two. I am a huge fan of the Jojo Fashion Show games, but I can honestly say this is my least favorite.
For starters, it's incredibly long. While that can be a good thing, this is not the game you can sit down and just play through in one afternoon. Often, I find I only have the time to play one level a day and with 10 levels available, it can take almost two weeks to finish the game. And honestly, at some point, it does get a little repetitive. Plus, it takes so long for the game to add up your totals as it reviews the outfits you put together.
Also, this is quite a bit easier than the last two games. Five stars is simple to reach without much effort, so the challenge in the game is minimal.
I did really enjoy the new feature of creating my own outfits, but that too seems to have some issues. Some colors and prints that are important to the style aren't offered. And sometimes, even when they are, the game doesn't register it as the proper print/color. For example, argyle is clearly offered for the male London Street style, but when you choose the option, it doesn't actually think you've chosen argyle. Um...ok.
Some of the colors are rather garish as well and only go with the tops/bottoms they were meant for. On the older games, there were several pieces that could easily work for other styles, but on this one, if it says Kimono Krazy, it pretty much means that and only that. Things are definitely not as mix and match as in the other games.
All this being said, I have played the game more than once, but a lot of time usually passes before I get the urge to play this one again. And many times, I find myself only wanting to play to create new outfits anyway. For that reason, I keep a previously played version of the game at all times, in case I just want to create outfits.
I know some others liked this game more than the first two, but for me, it was not nearly as much fun. I suppose I would still recommend the game, but without as much enthusiasm as I did for the first two Jojo's Fashion Shows.
I recommend this game!
