Are there different versions of this game because what I am playing looks nothing like what was advertised. I foolishly bought this game without trying because I thought it sounded good and I liked what I saw of the graphics. (as I previously said the graphics advertised is nothing like what I am playing. I wont ever do that again. There are two chapters and a collectors chapter. It makes no sense and is not in the least bit clear what you are supposed to do. Finished up using hint a lot and that was useless as it went so quick you could not see what it was referring to. I'm not even going to bother trying to finish. I buy games to relax and have fun and this game is not that. no fun at all. Very very disappointed. Would 100% absolutely NOT recommend this game.
Did not pay attention to the fact this was a standard edition and that there was a collectors. Bought it with a coupon. I enjoyed the game and persisted to get 3 stars on all levels. (Quite a challenge on some.) Then I get half way round the last island and it's all over. What the heck. Very unsatisfactory ending for me. It's another case of buy the more expensive Collectors to get the whole story.I buy Collectors for the extras to find in the game eg morphing objects and collectibles. Silly games like this do not warrant a Collectors edition. Will be more careful in future.
I played the demo (normal version) and really enjoyed it. Decided to buy the Collectors edition as I like searching for the collectibles. What a waste of time (and money) I found myself using the hint a lot which is something I don't usually need. Others have said it was too easy. I disagree. I found some parts thinking where the heck do I go now. The collectibles were a waste of time as at the end I could not even find whether I had them all or not.
I don't recommend this game.

PuppetShow: The Price of Immortality Collector's Edition
Your friend vanishes after investigating the mysterious Theater of Emotions
I loved this game right to end of the standard part and then was really annoyed. It was a very abrupt "hello you were just in time" - The End. It was not a satisfactory ending as far as I am concerned and was thankful that I had bought the Collectors Edition. I have been really fed up with a number of other games I bought as Standard only to find a bad ending like this. It is like reading a book with the last page missing. Bonus chapters should be a bonus, not used to finish the story. This is why I mostly buy Collectors Editions now because I have been let down many times. Anyway after that rant.....the game was great. Loved the artwork, the map, the HOS, the minigames and even the music. The minigames were a bit different and I like that you could choose difficult or easy. I play these games for enjoyment, not to be challenged out of my mind. Overall it was very enjoyable and has now put me in the mood to go back and play my other PuppetShow games
I have loved all the other Nevertales and this one did not disappoint. Beautiful graphics, good story, interesting HOs and puzzles. I even enjoyed the music. Normally I play sound off or very quiet. Even the credits were amusing with the dancing card soldier! One of the main things I like about the Nevertales games is the fact that if I miss a collectible in a scene I can go back at the end of the game and look for it. The HOs can be replayed to find the morphing object if you missed it first time and you can improve your score to get three stars. I just think all the extras make it a more fun game and well worth the CE price (unlike some others). If I could give it 10 stars I would.
I am finding this game quite boring and cannot wait to get to the end. The graphics are beautiful but the music is irritating. Put me right off the Nutcracker Suite and in some areas was just a whine. Turned the sound off in the end. Very disappointed as I loved the previous games and this one looked good. The HOPs are good and the mini games interesting but this whole thing is just not ringing my bells.
I have played 'Witches Legacy - The Ties That Bind CE' and 'Witches Legacy - Lair of the Witch Queen CE' and loved them both so I decided I wanted to see the start of the story and bought the first one, 'Witches' Legacy: The Charleston Curse CE'. Can someone tell my why this deserves to be a CE. Where is the badly needed map? I'm exhausted running from one end to the other and have resorted to using the hint to tell me where to go next. Where are the collectibles? Where are the achievements? I am sooooo bored with this game. By the time I have finally picked up something to solve a puzzle I have forgotten where the heck to use it! The later editions are soooo much better and honestly, if I had started with this one I would not have bought the others. This should go out as a $1.99 game. Thank goodness I bought it on a two for one special. Very disappointed.
This game is one of the best I have played and if I could I would give it a 10. The artwork and graphics are clear colourful and just stunning. The storyline, the HOPS (with morphing object in them) and puzzles all interesting. The collectible handprints not too hard to find. I loved the extras which made it so worth while to be a CE. Extra puzzles and things to find and being able to replay HOPs if you missed the morphing or just wanted to get a better score. Found getting 3 stars pretty hard though. My only minor complaint was that it did not tell you during the game if you had succeeded in gaining an achievement but had to go into the main menu to check them out.
I thought this was a great game. Storyline was interesting. Graphics lovely and bright. HOS interesting and interactive. Puzzles not too difficult or too easy. I play these games for enjoyment not to have my brain fried by puzzles that are too hard. The story finishes well and does not leave you wondering what comes next. Highly enjoyable and I highly recommend this game.
You thought this would be just like any other investigation. But now you find yourself lost in a mysterious mansion brimming with strange creatures, comatose colleagues, and mysterious tentacles around every corner…
I loved this game. The HOS were interesting, the mini games were different and not difficult. I play games for fun not to be driven mad with mini games/puzzles that are just frustrating. I loved the fun and the humour with a couple of laugh out loud moments. The story line was exciting, the graphics excellent and the jumping map an essential for me. I really loved the whole game and very glad I bought the CE.
The only downer I have is the ending. If I had bought the SE I would have been pretty annoyed at the way the main story ended. Rather than a proper conclusion of the main game it was an introduction of the bonus level. I have other games that this has happened when I had the SE and was not happy.
