Protect your castle from hoards of invading green dudes by strategically placing artillery and invoking spells. The premise makes this is a fairly straight forward tower defense game.
What is unusual about this game is how quickly it becomes difficult; in fact VERY difficult after about the 5th or 6th level on easy mode. After that I lost each round several times before I was able to move on. However, each spanking forced me to employ very different strategies in positioning my defenses. Once I realized what the developer(s) were aiming for in this game, the goal became a little more clear. Placing the first two defenses to maximize exposure to invaders is key. Balancing the addition of new defenses and upgrading of existing defenses is the next most critical task, and this must be done as soon as funds are available even while in the thick of battle. Very tricky.
Before I played the demo I read the reviews, and I was prepared not to like this game. However, I found the challenge engaging. Indeed, the graphics are simple and a little small, but I don't think this takes away from the game. The music is OK. The story line is basic. Tutorials are a little sparse, but then again, the premise is straight forward.
Although not the beautifully designed game that most people are playing today, I did like it, and I recommend it.
I recommend this game!

I am a TM game hound, and I absolutely loved this game! The story takes place in the middle of a zombie outbreak, and the goal is to prepare and bury as many zombies as possible. In this version, our main characters are traveling Europe while an outbreak is occurring, so everywhere they go they are engaged with zombie smashing fun.
This game is similar to the “dash” type games, but with far more character. This game offers a lot play throughout, from the increasingly challenging levels, to finding butler parts to the mini games. In between levels you can upgrade equipment provided you have earned enough points. There is a lot here to keep the TM gamer entertained and challenged.
This is a solid TM game that is loads of fun to play as well as look at. The developers clearly had a lot of fun when they dreamt up this one!
I recommend this game!

I'm always a sucker for pretty games that have nice music, and this game fits this description.
In this match 3 game you earn points to purchase special tiles that have enhanced power, such as altering the board or exploding adjacent tiles. The more points, the more powerful tiles you can purchase.
What I liked about this game were the beautiful graphics, nice music, and the ability to alter game play by upgrading to power tiles. What I didn't like was that there was nothing extra earned if more than three tiles were matched. Otherwise, it was a fun but standard matching game.
I recommend this game!

I never thought about it, but I guess working for a shipping company is a bit like playing Tetris, and in this game that is what you are doing. Your goal to is fill spaceships with the maximum amount of cargo in the shape of tetrominoes (geometric shaped tiles) as quickly as possible. Pack an area with tetrominoes of the same color for extra points. Meet the quota for specialty items (special tetrominoes) to complete the level.
The premise is simple and familiar, but it's still a lot of fun. And any day I can use the word tetrominoes four times in one setting is a good day!
I recommend this game!

You find yourself aboard a zeppelin that crashes in a strange world inhabited by spirits. Your job is to solve the mystery of why the tree of life is endangered and by whom. Lots of twists and turns await you in this adventure!
Excellent graphics, great music, good sound effects, good voiceovers, smooth scene changes all add up to a great game playing experience. The HOs are not complete until you solve the riddle at the end to secure that last item. Mini games are a little easy and somewhat familiar. There is the standard journal and map, with the map giving indications of unfinished business in what area. There are many items to collect as you move through the multiple sites – zepplins, butterflies, owls, so you have to pay attention to detail. There are two levels of play to ensure enough challenge.
What I liked about this game was the sound, the visuals, the music, and the layers of play that each scene provided. These created an intriguing world in which I wished to linger. Also, I really liked that the characters were human actors with elements of animation. This was a great addition visually, and I would have been happy with a bit more of that! Great gaming experience, and I highly recommend it!
I recommend this game!

The storyline of a game needs to be at least mildly interesting for me to buy into the goal of the game, and this storyline is rather good. Three teens went to a library, were captured by a crazy bald dude with oral hygiene issues and his evil court jester hand-puppet while prowling among the tomes, and were placed into great literary works to act out the parts. Unfortunately, the literary works are tragedies, and it is up to you to rescue the teens before the story’s ending is reached.
There’s a lot to like about this game: beautiful graphics, good choices in music, smooth scene changes, and good voiceovers. The puzzles are challenging, but not overly so. The HO games are slightly different in that many of these scenes require a second visit for additional items needed later in the game, so you have to pay close attention to the detail. The game has three modes which should cover any level of challenge you seek. There is a task list, which I like better than a journal, and an interactive map.
What’s missing from this CE is the extras you would expect like extra finds, achievements and morphing objects. Nevertheless, this is a great game that I am happy to recommend. Enjoy!
I recommend this game!

The story is fairly standard in that you have to rescue someone stranded in a mirror, all the while solving HO puzzles and being menaced by a voice from within the mirror. Travelling through a mirror is a fun component of the story. However, when I arrived in a clock tower and saw a train, I had a flashback to series I read in the 1990’s. Hm…
What I liked about this game was that the graphics were lovely; the music was pretty good, but became monotonous when a puzzle took a bit longer to solve; the HOs were different in that you needed to find groupings of items to solve the puzzle and you ended up with an item to be used later; the cut scenes were nice and quick; and not too much dialogue was needed to move forward. Additionally, there were cartoon films that informed you about the train and elements of the story, and these were done in black and white 1940’s style which added character.
What I didn’t like about the game was that I was through with the demo in about 40 minutes. There were only four mirrors to complete, and they went quickly. I didn’t like the owl either. He looked as if they allotted the design of this character to a junior artist, and although his information was essential, visually he looked as if he had escaped from a child’s coloring book. The voice overs were also a little irritating, especially the owl.
Although I enjoyed this game initially, when I finished as quickly as I did I was very disappointed. Perhaps the full version offers more, but I won’t know that as I won’t be purchasing it.
I don't recommend this game.

I made it 20 minutes into the demo when I began regretting the time I had spent playing this game.
It is a standard match 3 game where you earn money to build your pizza business. Occasionally a customer shows up and you get extra points for clearing the board of items on the customer's order. However, it was unclear why sometimes I received 80 points and at other times I received 500 points by fulfilling the orders. Unlike other match 3 games, there are no bonuses for four or more matches. The boards become progressively more difficult by having areas blocked out or by having to match the object in a block that is covered by a vine which also serves as a barrier until you match it with two or more of its kind.
The problems with this game are that at times there are so many spontaneous matches that it takes more than several seconds before you can make your next match; some of the boards have so many blocks that the board is hard to see clearly on my laptop; when items are covered by the vines it is extremely difficult to tell what it is; there is no story line; and the music is so-so.
I like most match 3 games, but you I won't be including this game among them.
I don't recommend this game.

Upon seeing the screenshots I thought this was going to be a boring time management game. Nevertheless, I downloaded the demo and gave it a try. Within the first few minutes I was hooked! This is a very cute building game.
You are in the woods, first building houses and sawmills, then later on windmills for making flour and ovens for baking bread, et al. There is no time limit to complete the levels, however you earn gold, silver or bronze stars for completing the levels quickly.
I was surprised that I liked this game. I tend to like games with more visual splash, but this game does not suffer at all due to the simple visuals. I liked this game and recommend it.
I recommend this game!
