Take on the role of Emyr, probably the realm’s most famous hero. That is, until his career was destroyed by a dreadful wound. Now, Emyr works in the tavern.
This game seemed ok from playing the demo, so I bought it. But its just a bit dull really. The game play lacks any sparkle or excitement and is just, I don't know, beige. I really enjoy the Delicious games and Maggies Movies, so it is not that I don't enjoy this style of game. Everything is a bit too easy and takes a bit too long. I wish I could return it for a game credit, I don't intend to finish it.
Very well thought out strategy game and different from the standard fare. Within each level of play you can (but not must, well so far at least) play up to 4 different levels of difficulty, the last of which is timed. So you get to choose your own level of difficulty by deciding which level to play up to and can choose whether to play the timed level or not. Getting as much XP as possible is crucial to acquiring spells and skills that get you through some of the tougher levels. Definitely requires some thought, and trial and error at times, to get through a level. I love time management and strategy games and this one fitted the bill perfectly for me.
Without warning, a group of mysterious figures arrives and reduces your village to flames and rubble. What do they want... and who is controlling them?
I am not sure why this game has so many 5 star reviews. It was ok, not the worst, but it didn't excite me at all. Indeed I found it a bit clunky to play and while I did manage to finish it, found it a bit ho-hum.
