3rd in the Dana Knightstone series. Dana is a novelist/detective who can see ghosts. Storyline is her cousin who is dying needs her help to find some missing music sheets lost by a dead violinist (Elise) who has been haunting him.
HOPA (Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure) although more HOS (Hidden Object Scenes) than Puzzles
Developers are Boomzap (one of my favourite) Game opens in wide screen (always a bonus) Graphics are clear and sharp Audio clear 3 modes of play (find what is offered for each in settings) You can't change mode of play once started (a little extra some of the Devs have been offering of late] Custom or Systems Cursor, both work smoothly Journal which keeps info for further gameplay, so check regularly Hint and skip button take about 70-80 seconds to fill in Normal mode (too long for this impatient player] Hint tells you exactly what you have to do - don't like this in games, after all you're requesting a hint not a solution. There are voiceovers (which I find strange when the character's mouth doesn't move and they're staring at you, especially the butler, he's really weird]
I found the HOS quite fun and varied if a little strange. The first one you had to find so many of certain items, which I liked. HOS are interactive [find this to cut or fix this)
I found this quite a strange game....Unlocked a door and there is the butler tied to a chair staring at me, requesting I untie him but do I untie him immediately....no! I have to do a HOS first while the butler is giving me evil eye....weird!
Loved the snowy scenes and the cute little animals, just not too sure about the rest.
I immediately loved this game because it automatically opened in widescreen, no black bars! Gorgeous clear graphics Choice of 3 modes of play : Casual - Sparkles for a HOS (Hidden Object Scenes) Sparkles not overbearing. Quick refill of Hint and Skip Advanced: No Sparkles, slower hint and Skip refills Hardcore : No Hints or Skips, although if you spend too long in a scene it will tell you there is something or not to do in that scene, which could annoy the more experienced.
HOS are interactive and the objects are easily identifiable
Choice of Cursors, the Custom Cursor worked beautifully, nice and smooth
There is a Journal and map inside the Journal which you can use to Jump, which Everyone seems to like, I on the other hand like to wander, especially with a game like this one, as the graphics are so clear and colourful
Live actors, although the Audio could do with a bit of editing in certain scenes
Cutscenes can be replayed via the Journal, love this feature, a lot of the better Developers are incorporating this added feature in their games, adds to the enjoyment of the game IMO
Puzzels were different and enjoyable, some were a little hard for me, took me a while to figure out, even with the instructions, but that's just me
There are no Collectibles or Achievements (which is a shame, would have enjoyed collecting spiders or wasps)
Husband is killed and his widow uses his invention for evil. Your job is to stop her, and help a few others along the way, she has an army of spiders to do her bidding, there's a great fight between a giant spider and wasp, one of the cutscenes I replayed a few time, just loved it.
I'm quite a slow player and hate to skip puzzels, unless I really have to, and the game took me about 5 hours to play. I thought the ending was quite abrupt, but a lot of the SEs are nowdays
Overall a fun game, easy enough in Casual mode but if you're afraid of spiders....Beware! LOL

For anyone who has played any of the other 7 Wonder games, as I have, I think this one is the best.
4 levels of play to choose from : Insane, Difficult, Normal and Zen. I played most of the demo in Normal didn't prove too difficult, as far as I got. Started a new profile and used 'Insane' mode, timer ran out quite quickly, but I'm not a seasoned Match 3 player. Love the ability to share the game with multiple profiles available
Bright colourful game with lots going on....gold to be earned to decorate your village, various power ups etc., and you've got to love those little workers...automatically filled my screen without me changing anything. Cursor was a little wonky in previous games but is nice and stable in this one, a must in match 3 games.
Highly recommend, suitable for beginners and seasoned players.....FUN FUN FUN
Untimed Match 3, very bright and colourful. It's a chain match 3 where you're asked to match a certain colour or number of cubes; if you don't clear the board it will re-set and you can try the level again, you often run out of available moves, at least I did, so what at first looks fairly straight-forward, needs a bit of tought before randomly pressing cubes
There is a Circle in the upper left corner of the gameboard, which fills up as you progress
BEWARE : If you exit the game and re- enter make sure you press the CONTINUE button not the start button as this will start the game from scratch and your progress will be lost
No real instructions with the game but I'm enjoying it, off to finish, I hope

Bright colourful puzzle game. The premis of the game is to get all your sheep home safely using arrows to show them the way which can be removed and used further on, while avoiding potholes and obstacles and collecting coins.
There is no untimed option unfortunately and you have to complete each level before you can proceed, the timer is fairly generous though. You can redo a level if you want to improve your score. There is no map, so if you want to redo a level you'll have to scroll backwards to find the level, or do it there and then
This is only my second timed game and I'm quite enjoying the change so I don't really know what seasoned 'timed players' look for, but I'm enjoying this one...
I recommend this game!

Laby
Visit a magic laboratory, awake the spirits of the elements and solve the Greatest Mystery of Alchemy in Laby, a fun Match 3 game!
Great little match 3 if you don't like too much pressure or are new to match 3s.
A choice of custom cursor, which worked well for me, liberal timer for each level. Bright easily understood game, info before each level starts so you know whats what, some of the match 3s lately you need a Science degree to understand what everything is for. Check the "Extras" tab to see Achievements, Trophies etc. Outline of the game is you have to fill towers which represent the Elements which then can be used for exploding the tiles on the board. The usual 'line' clear when you match 4 or more.
In between mini games of "pipes" or finding "so many" of something, nice break from matching tiles. So if you want an undemanding Match 3, this is it
I recommend this game!

Storyline explained at beginning of game - defeat the Priests of chaos. Good size game, took me about 6 hours or so. Beautiful H0G, FROG game, mixture of both with a few mini puzzles every now and then so game never got boring. I'd say it is a med on the difficult guage. Hint button charges quickly. Little extras I loved by clicking certain objects to interact. A bit of running around but i did't mind that as the graphics are so bright and beautiful it was a pleasure to revisit often.
Only one mode of play however, just a good relaxing game, you can disable the custom cursor if you wish but it worked fine for me. This game is a little bit different and i enjoyed it immensly
