Finally, a game that kept me on the edge of my seat! Though I enjoy the fairy tale games, I was getting thirsty for something dark, and creepy. True Fear hit the mark, and I can't wait for the next two installments of the trilogy. The game play is nicely paced, and puzzles were not too challenging. The map was a great help for keeping track of all the tasks. I liked the slightly, dark, gritty graphics for the scenes and found that the clear and very realistic graphics for the main character an interesting way to illustrate dark and light, good and evil.
I loved this game, though I do not think that it merits a CE price. Not enough bling. A few more collectibles, and screen savers would have made it better. But overall a fantastic, and thoroughly engaging game with plenty of shivers. More like this please!!!!
I recommend this game!

This is not a bad little game - just not that inspiring. It seems a bit dated to me, but I do find that every once in while it’s nice to play a more basic game, and this one fits the bill, for the most part.
Your boyfriend is an archaeologist on the verge of an earth-shattering discovery when he gets kidnapped. It’s up to you to finish his work and save him. There is a bit of unnecessary “travel” in the beginning, but eventually you end up in Prague where your search starts.
I was a bit jolted by the fact that when you are talking to yourself, there is audible dialog, but anytime you “talk” with a character it is text only. It makes game play feel a bit choppy. HOS are interactive the first time you get to one, and then when you have to go back it is more of a traditional “list” style HOS with a few little things to do. The graphics for these scenes seem a bit fuzzy to me, and so they took me a little longer than I think they should have. The other graphics are clear, and bright.
I played the full demo, and haven’t come across any real “puzzles”, or mini-games, which is too bad.
Overall, I am on the fence with this one. I like the story, and I spent an enjoyable hour with it, but even for an SE it seemed to lack real pizzazz. Definitely worth trying out, and deciding for yourself.

At last the next title in the Otherworld series is out! I have to say that these are some of my most favorite games. The graphics are gorgeous. I love how each scene is transformed, the real world becoming the “otherworld”. The blending of darkness and fantasy is breathtaking. The characters are beautifully rendered, and enjoyable to meet.
The hint system is very straight forward. HO scenes are interactive, and some are very unusual. I loved finding the fay dragons(though it’s not that hard). There are the usual achievements, and extras, though nothing unique.
This one seems a little less dark then the earlier offerings, but overall still really enjoyable
I am a huge fan of the series so it’s a definite buy for me, but I think that for those of you who find that the achievements sometimes get in the way of enjoying the game, you could wait for the SE and not miss out on much.
I recommend this game!

Bluebeard's Castle is visually astounding. Each time I unlocked a new garden the graphics took my breath away. One of my favorite scenes is the orchard. I love how just moving the mouse over the red leaves creates rustling, fluid movement. As for the game play, the story is terrific, and the puzzles are not difficult but enjoyable. The only weak aspects of the game are the longer than usual loading times between some scenes, and that after a while the music seems a bit repetitive. I highly recommend it for the person who wants a relaxing, and visually rich HOG experience.
I recommend this game!
