I love my other Jewel Match games and always have one of them on my computer. But this one didn't do it for me. I found the moving pieces to be distracting and irritating. Perhaps I would have enjoyed it if the movement wasn't so exaggerated. Also the theme was too Halloween oriented. Maybe good for October, but not so much in April.
I started playing the demo version and thought I already had this game. Turns out, it's just like all the other FMs over that past years. The game play is the same; there might be different colors, but there's no difference between this and the past 15 versions. How much longer will Match Games keep pushing these puzzles without offering any new features? At least make them more challenging with larger grids. My advice is to re-play any of the last 15 versions and save your money.
No flowery descripton or tome about how great the game is. I don't get my games for free or at a discount, so this is a true and simple review from a paying customer. I only made it through about 10 minutes of the trial version. It was simply too much like a game for a child. I imagine if I continued, the puzzles would have become more challenging, but the graphics, etc were too child-like and irritating to continue. I'll just keep replaying the nonograms I already have.
I have all the Fantasy Mosaics and I play this type of puzzle a lot. But, I'm getting tired of purchasing the same game over and over. Why buy another game when you can replay the ones you already own??? The puzzles and graphics may be different, but it's still the same 3-color griddler. No bells, no whistles, no mini-games. Until the developers come up with some new features (other than the number in the series), I'm done helping that penguin and his family.
I don't feel this game is anywhere near the quality of the first two of the Christmas Stories. I found it boring and didn't finish the trial version. Explanations of mini games were vague and I skipped most, since I wasn't interested enough to try to figure them out. Despite the graphics, the plot didn't seem to fit the Christmas theme.
