This game looked good and during the demo play I completed Room 1. This room consisted of a series of boards after the style of 'Gemsweeper', and was enjoyable to play. However, when I reached Room 2, I was directed to the Big Fish Game Store, where you had to buy a 'ticket' to proceed to Room 2! This put me off straight away, as there is no way I would be paying to proceed in a so-called Free game. So I quit. This seems to be a developing trend, and I do not like it.
Orphan Evy wakes to find herself in a fairytale kingdom under threat from an evil witch. Help her save the magic kingdom with Marble Popping puzzle duels.
A fine Match 3 hybrid here that may well spring some offshoots. Others have said it all, so I will just say that this is a superb game with fine graphics, sound, music and story! Some have said that the tutorial was lacking, but it doesn't really matter, as you soon pick up the gist of the game.
I recommend this game!

Mahjong Secrets
Help the princess find her twin sister and reveal the royal mysteries!
At first when I viewed the rather simplistic tile designs, my thoughts were 'here goes another mediocre mahjong game.' After having played the hour demo however, I was pleasantly surprised, as here we have a mahjong game that's a little different and quite fun to play. It's a 'mahjong adventure.'
Each game of mahjong you play, unlocks an item which goes into the inventory. When the inventory is full, you have an interaction scene whereby you have to place the items in appropriate places. Periodically, you also have a mini-game where you have to associate pictured items with items in a circular scene. This turned out to be harder than I envisaged, and was quite thought provoking.
I only got about a 15th of the way in the demo hour, so it should be of reasonable length in total. Graphics are superb and tiles are distinctive, making for quite fast matching. When there are no matches, shuffle button can be used. Sound effects and background music are pleasant and appropriate. There is no timer, and there are two modes : casual and expert. All in all a fun game that should please mahjong lovers.
Always keen to try out a new mahjong experience, but although this looked and sounded promising, alas, it had a few letdowns. The clarity of the graphics on the opening screen is outstanding, but upon loading the first board, disappointment prevailed. The tiles are quite fuzzy and not good on the eyes. I feel that in this day and age, there is no excuse for poor quality graphics. As others have pointed out there are a few redeeming features, but there are also other bad points - the music is not sympathetic to the game, and there is a dreaded button 'Release Curse' (no moves) which seems to have to be pressed too often. Once pressed, tiles are shuffled, but often giving only one more move. Not good. All in all, a bit of a disappointment for seasoned mahjong players.

Wow! I was only part way through the demo when I knew this was a definite buy. What set it apart from the outset, was the clarity of the graphics, compared with many other mahjong games. The tile designs are refreshingly different and are beautifully coloured and rendered. The sound effect when the tiles are matched is a pleasing feature also.
Yes, the game is timed, but only in the sense that you get a 'gold' score for a fast solve, a 'silver' score for a bit slower solve, and a lesser score for a slow solve. The 'timed' aspect however is partially offset by the fact that the tiles in the top tiers of a layout are 'lit up' making the tiles available for play distinct from the others. This makes for faster play and thus a lesser time. Ambient music is very pleasant, relaxing and fitting. Storyline, as described by other reviewers is very good. A 'must have' for any mahjong fan!
