This is a real brain teaser! I've reached an age where I need a daily game to make my brain focus, and this is great for that! The challenge seemed overwhelming at first compared to sudoku, but after a round or two the logic of it kicked in. I agree with the comments that being returned to the first games after each level is a pain, as well as needing to find a specific solution when several will work. But overall, the play was satisfying.
I was surprised by the low reviews but since it's a series I love, I had to try it. The graphics are definitely different--I prefer the characters in the older versions. The audio is the same, which is the only thing reminding me it's Northern Tales. The hidden objects are now visible items tossed among the trees. As for the play, in 30 minutes I got through level 4, needing two tries to get three stars on 3&4. The bonuses don't seem to help much after the first level. I want to love the game but I'm not there yet. I'll probably use up my remaining 30 minutes before I decide to buy, and then only if another time management hasn't released.

This has a huge variety of puzzles when you consider the choices available to increase difficulty on each individual puzzle. Word search, match 2, and swapping tiles are my faves, and with the number of choices available within the categories, I might never reach the end of the game.
As others say, this requires study when you start. The world is Rescue Team, but the play resembles the Adelantado Trilogy with the requirement to move to different areas within the level. Tasks of building, clearing, and gathering are familiar, but you don't have to send someone every time a building's production is ready. Some tasks have a time limit to complete multiple acts. Clicking on the tasks icons shows you where on the map those items are. I've played three or four levels and achieved maximum stars, but had to replay a couple to get production set up right. I've been looking for something like Adelantado's non-fixed map and this is it. More, please!
I just realized I'm stuck on level 28 and the game is a few days old, so I must be enjoying it! The graphics are familiar to me from Royal Envoy, which I like. I'm playing on the Normal level and sometimes have to play a time or two to get the order correct to finish with three stars, which is perfect. No power-ups or magic skills, which to me means more brain function required. I recommend this game!
I recommend this game!

My 3 yr old granddaughter loved this. The game ends quickly, which would make it seem a poor value, but she plays it over and over. It uses the arrow keys, which introduces the little ones to keyboard use. She'll probably outgrow it fairly soon, but I like it as a first stepping stone with games on the computer, not a touch screen.

This review is based off the trial. I expected from the name to find this game to be a mix of the puzzle grids and some sort of riddle to be solved. I didn't find anything beyond the grids. The scoring screens after each round took a bit long to disappear (or maybe I'm still too grouchy this morning!)
The graphics are nice, and the puzzle doesn't automatically cross off numbers before the blanks are filled in a row or column, so in those areas it was satisfactory. Logic puzzle fans would probably enjoy this one.

Enjoyed this one! I played through fairly quickly, but over the course of days, not hours. Some levels were very challenging, and I think I have one left to make three stars on so I can play the last of the bonus rounds. I like that the bonus rounds are tied to a few, but not all, levels, so you can play some even if you have a few levels with fewer than three stars. Buy this one, you'll enjoy it, too.
