This game was not easy to play because it turned out to be very challenging. You really need to put your thinking cap on. The graphics are very good. The sound is very good. There are many, many clues to find. These clues are needed in order to move to new areas of the castle and the castle is big. There is a hint button that works well most of the time. However, there are many times when the hint button will not show you everything. There is a map which comes in handy. The game uses live characters who also give you clues throughout the game play. I had no disappointments. This is a great game and worth the money.

WOW! This is a great game. Loved playing it. I have to say this was an extremely challenging game. So much thought went into it. So many areas to explore and find objects that enabled you to progress through different parts of the game. You have to put your thinking cap on to play. Every thing about this game is 5-star.

This is a challenging game. As in true crime solving, the lead detective has to ask many questions and search everywhere for evidence and clues. There are lot of puzzles - some easy and some difficult. Lots of HO's throughout the game. There is a lot of back-tracking, but with the built-in map it's easy to go where you are needed. The storyline is excellent. There is a lot of dialogue which sometimes I skipped over because I was getting tired of it. For those who like solving crimes, you will enjoy this game. You do have to put your thinking cap on.

Gee Whiz! What a great game this turned out to be. It is so challenging that I needed assistance playing. There is a map included and I used it a lot to explore areas in Notre Dame and Paris. I consider this game to be very difficult but enjoyable. Playing time is extremely long. You certainly get your moneys worth. I have played many games that I consider to be very, very good. This game is extraordinarily good.
It took me a long time to get through this game. It was a difficult game to play, but I finally got through it with the help of a walkthrough. It requires a lot of concentration and memory. This is an older game, which I have had for quite some time and finally decided to work with it. There are some challenges that are difficult. The most important thing to do throughout game play is to "hit the Escape key and click on save" then hit "Back" . This puts you back where you were. You need to save your progress frequently so that if you make a mistake, you can "hit the Escape key and hit reload and double click the scene you want. If you do this you won't be upset if you mess up and you won't have to start the game anew. If you need to do an action such as walking up steps and the game won't let you, right click for the inventory, then right click to get out of inventory. You will then be able to walk up the steps. Otherwise, this is a great adventure game with good music and wonderful scenery. Lots to do and the storyline is very interesting.

This game is hard to play - not for beginners. The game is long and extremely challenging. Not many HO's but lots of mini-games. Some of the mini-games do not tell you how to solve the game. Graphics, sound and scenes are excellent. There are a lot of scenes to explore and re-explore. Takes a lot of concentration as there are very few hints. You have a map to follow but it is not interactive so you have to see where you are and figure how to get to another scene. Even though the map is not interactive, it does show where you need to go to get the next clue. The story is good from beginning to end. Wished I had bought the CE so I could play the Bonus Chapter.

I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game. It is well done. So much to explore. Lots of HO's and mini-games. After you solve the HO's and mini-games, you get a useful tool to use to advance through the game. Some are challenging and some are easier to solve. The graphics and music is very nice. Storyline is excellent from beginning to end. There is a built-in strategy guide if you get stuck. There is a bonus game included. It's a very long game and not boring, well worth the money.
Fabulous game play. Enjoyed it immensely. So much to do and explore. Music, sound and graphics are excellent. This is another long game. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this game. Lots of beautiful scenery. There is a built-in strategy guide if you get stuck. I have played a lot of great games that were really good. This one fits right in with some of my most enjoyable games. The creator of this game did a great job.
Graphics, music, scenery are great. Enjoyed playing this game. It's a long one with a great deal to explore. Many places to visit and re-visit for clues. This is not a boring game. You will be entertained for many hours of fun.
Reminds me a little bit of Build-A-Lot and Virtual Villagers. This is truly a great strategy game. Everything about this game is excellent. Good graphics, music, storyline. I played the entire game and just started playing it again. So many challenges to accomplish. The game starts out slow until you get a good stockpile of inventory, then it speeds up and gets to the good part of the game. Requires a lot of thought to keep track of what do do next and how to do it. It also requires your patience. When it's time to attack the pirate ships, you're in for a big surprise. This is a game you'll want to keep for a long time. Love it so much. If The Promised Land 2 come out, I'll be buying it too.
