loved everything about this game. the puzzles (my fave part of any game) were innovative and challenging with various levels of difficulty. graphics were clear and nicely rendered. story line was engaging and the pace excellent. good job!
i have not quite finished the game, but what i have seen is awesome. great puzzles with just the right level of challenge. hos are kept to a minimum, but graphics and gameplay within them is great. the only drawback is that the moths and cassette tapes are a little hard to find. graphics are fabulous. great work devs!!!
i found the graphics amazing and the game play challenging but enjoyable. the puzzles and HOs were well done and innovative. the only thing i wasn't keen on was all the back and forth that had to be done at times. the demo was a bit on the lame side but the game got better as i went along.
i can understand all the reviews complaining about the volume of puzzles in this game. especially if they were counting on a run of the mill HO game.
this is not the kind of game that the hard core HO fans will enjoy. but for me, it was right down my alley!
it is so hard to find a decent game with so many puzzles as this one. a welcome relief and i wish there were more of them.
the puzzles are awesome, if sometimes a bit difficult. (there is always the guide or the skip button, after all). i loved them all, even it they were sometimes beyond me.
i found the graphics/game play/pace and plot to be excellent. never a dull moment with lots to do.
i highly recommend this game for all puzzle lovers. prepare to be stumped once in a while.
at times, playing this, i felt overwhelmed with the difficulty in some of the puzzles. but there is a skip button and a jump map. there is not much of a quide to speak of either. i used the hint button a lot as well.
but that's the negative stuff. the graphics were wonderful and the gameplay cerebral. this is not a game for kids, like so many are. the storyline we've all seen before, but this did not detract from my interest in the game.
the best part is that i was never bored and i was sad when it was completed.
i highly recommend hidden fears to anyone who enjoys a challenge with a very spooky atmosphere.
for true HOPA fans, this will probably disappoint, but for me ( a puzzle person) this game was amazing. during a young boys search for his lost dog, he must encounter and solve riddles and arcade type games, some more challenging than others. although not a fan of arcade games, i managed to get through most of them due to the 'easy' setting and repeated attempts. the other puzzles were location-based, logic challenging and object oriented.
the game is so well thought out. the graphics are cartooney but still wonderful. there is humour everywhere.
the little grey cells (my brain) were activated and happy.
