A treat for the eyes, this game is visually gorgeous.... as are all the Dark Parables games. The storyline is intriguing and the characters engaging. The puzzles and games will keep you thinking... Honestly, I couldn't find a thing to put on a Con list.... This series gets better with each game.
Let me preface this by saying that I am a huge fan of Elephant's "Surface" games..I love them. I look forward to them. Heck, I pay full price for them because I don't want to wait to get the newest ones... lol
That being said, this is NOT a Surface game. This is NOT up to the standard of a Surface game. Not storyline wise, not visually... Its a puddle when you are expecting an ocean. The premise is good...had a ton of potential...the execution failed badly. Surface isn't a fairy tale game....but this is.
My other big problem with this game is it feels half done. This game is ridiculously short. You are just getting settled in and expecting to get to the meat of the game....and poof...you're done. They went from point A to point B....to point F....and skipped everything in between. To say I was disappointed is an understatement.
The characters are stilted and one dimensional...you aren't going to be invested in any character here...you simply aren't given the chance to be.
This might be fun for kids or someone new to these games...its short...its pretty...its easy. But if you want a real fairy tale game, stick to the Dark Parables games....If you want a real Surface game...go back and play the series from the beginning.
I haven't had this much fun since the original Zelda!

This game is just plain, old, fun....There is a ton of humor...lots of goodies to find...Ships...dragons...snails ....floating skulls....something for everyone... If you enjoy turn based RPGs then check this out...you won't be sorry...I'm going the buy the other three right now!
Straight to the point, this game is beautiful, no muddy, purple graphics..no dark, depressing, dreary rooms or scenes....Each scene and room makes you want to explore even more.
The puzzles are fun, challenging, and fresh. The characters are engaging. The story builds throughout the game to a very satisfying finish. On my own scale of 1 - 10 this is a solid 9.
The CE is well worth buying. I don't go back and replay many games but this one I will. The Living Legends games never fail to come through!
I recommend this game!

Visually very pretty, I like the soft colors and the little helper animal is cute. There is a nice change up in the way the puzzles and HOS are played, not too hard but not 'walk in the park' easy either. I like the story line but I found myself rooting for the bad guy..
I'm tired of the gross, dark, games... I like a good challenge and I love the fantasy aspect.. This game is several hours of escapism, not a mind bender...but solid fun.
