Title of this review says it all. Game has nice graphics, and the storyline looks really good. But after playing the demo for an hour, all I find are mini games requiring quick reflexes in order to complete them. I do not have such, and therefore had to skip many of them. I don't like to skip puzzles, so this is not the game for me. Better if you tried the demo prior to purchase so you are not as disappointed as I am.
I don't recommend this game.

I rarely give 5 stars to a game. The game must have an engrossing, and well written story line in order to even come close to 5 stars from me. I loved this game. It is for mature players in that the story is on the darker side. And even if you are more on the adult side, the graphic nature (gore only) and demonic themes may not be your cup of tea. But in spite of all the "warnings" I really did not find it so over the top, I've seen worse from games with no warning at all.
It is, as others prior to myself have stated, not an HoG filled game. It is a story built adventure with unique puzzles and mini games that are not just random filler. Each game relates to the story's detail, such a simple but rarely well done concept.
This is an on-going series with Adam Wolfe trying to find his sister. It is the first chapter of the series, and in his quest to do so you are given two Acts. Each act will come to its own conclusion, thus giving you the sense of completion. They are, though, a means to the end for him and relate to his major quest.
I enjoyed this game and recommend you try the demo for yourself.
I recommend this game!

I actually really liked this game, I didn't find it slow paced, but then I always take my time when playing instead of rushing through. I thought the story line was acceptable and not too far fetched. ( though I do love fantasy stories) My only problem with the game was that it let me finish the ending while still having several items in my inventory. The story is not that good for me to play it again to see what happened, but I walked into the last area expecting to get more info on the "bad guy". But since I had one particular item, it thrust me right into the end. Done, but not completed as i like to play. Was a let down for me and therefore less stars. So, try the demo, as I said I did enjoy the game, until the end. And this is more of a warning to check your inventory before entering the last room and engaging in any conversations. Enjoy!
I recommend this game!

This is one of the worst games I have ever played. I love fantasy and magic story based games, this one went way beyond stupid with the story line. I won't go into detail as I am not one to give spoilers no matter how much I hated a game. I love a good story no matter how far fetched it is, just give me consistancy. Twists and turns are one thing, especially if done right. Total back flips with no reason are just very poor writing. If you are looking for a good story avoid this one, it fails miserably.
I don't recommend this game.

This was a game I bought without the demo, as the reviews (good and bad) seemed acceptable to me. I got it on sale as a 2 for one, and will chalk it up to a bad choice. Generally I like fantasy/fable story lines, but this just didn't work. In fact it was "uncomfortable" to play. The scenes seemed disjointed, goal paths unclear. And I never liked the Alice in wonderland story, and loathed the cheshire cat, so sorry i "bought" this game. Better to play the demos, even taking in reviews.
I don't recommend this game.

A nice surprise of a game. I am all about the story line in a game and this one was very good. It held my attention the whole way. I found the voice acting good in the beginning but her voice took a turn for the worse from the middle on. I think she lost her focus on how old the character was supposed to be. Normal HOP game mechanics, granted I too get annoyed that they use a screwdriver or knife/hammer once and drop the thing, only to need one again down the road. Though it is an earmark of this game genre, I wish it would change. In all due respect though, I would buy this game again. Check out the demo, you may like it too.
I recommend this game!

Why all the 5 stars?? I don't know anything about a CE for this game but telling by the gaping abrupt ending with the lack of a completed story line for this apparant SE game; this game is far from worth buying. Yes you found your main goal, but who is this guy that is "helping" you but does nothing? Did you stop the cult? Did you confront the evil villian? Did the queen know all about this? Sorry, this looks like a developer ploy to have you buy the CE version if you really want the whole game. So sorry i paid for it, Just a warning to those reading the rose colored 5 star reviews.
I don't recommend this game.

As someone else said, if you didn't buy the CE version the ending was terrible. I am not a fan of that kind of Dev manipulating. The game was OK and the story had potential until the final scene. So I will recommend this game if you are not too worried about how things end abruptly. But if you enjoy the story line of a game, this may not be for you.
I recommend this game!

I gave this four stars because I felt the story line was pretty interesting. But, mind you, this is not a child or young adult compatible game. It was even a bit too dark for me and I do not usually mind such games.
The puzzles/mini games were way too easy, the hint and skip buttons were not even close to being needed. The only games that were fun were the puzzles requiring multiple solutions. Very clever and made one think out of the box. So I will recommend this game, but to those who are older, and who don't mind stories about the occult; however, this one could very well be out of some people's comfort zone.
I recommend this game!

Though others wrote this game was too short , I did not find this to be so. It was a nice length. I thought the graphics were decent , and the mini games, though on the easy side, were varied and new. The story was actually very good, not the best I ever played, but a nice content....until the end. I will not give details so as not to disappoint, but I like to complete an ending, not have a cliffhanger that the devs think will force me to buy the next game. It is just a game, I do not Need to buy another game in order to resolve the Same problem left off in the last game and reject doing so. I Will buy games that close out one story line and then pick up a new conflict within the theme in the next. (As in the Blackwell stories). So though I would recommend the game on general purposes if you do not mind cliffhangers, I feel the game is just a money grab and therefore will not recommend it.
I don't recommend this game.
