I've anxiously awaited another game such as this. For those of you that enjoyed The Tiny Bang Story ....you should find this game intriguing! Like TTBS, this game has little to no instruction and you are left to actually use your brain and figure it out for yourself. However, in my opinion, there's a bit more instruction here. Unlike TTBS, this game offers the hint button without having to figure out it's a hint (personally I thought that was an excellent little twist and wish this game had something similar), and it also offers an option to skip puzzles.
The game starts with the comic strip story line, of which was not to my tastes, but beggars can't be choosers, right?! Then it goes to the main character standing in a room just waiting for you to tell him what to do. At this point, as somewhat of a teaser, you are offered the option of a tutorial! Don't get your hopes up! :) It's a simple index of icons that come up when you move your cursor around the screen. It tells you the hand means you can pick an item up, a conversation bubble means there's dialogue, etc. No worries! After a bit of trial and error, and moving your cursor all over the screen, it'll come to you!
Without giving too much away, after performing a few tasks in the opening scene of the game, you pick up your bag and head out in search of missing sheep. Again, through some trial and error, you come to a hidden object scene. Like TTBS, there's not a list of items. You just figure it out as you go. Find what you need....some of which goes in your inventory so you can repair a clock and find the first sheep. Then you get more of the comic strip...luckily there's a skip option for the comic too!
Once the comic is over or skipped, the game takes you back to the original room of the first scene. Now, the sheep has tasks to perform in the room and then you head out again to find the rest of the herd. A few more puzzles to figure out and then it tells you that you've reached the end of the demo and buy it if you wanna play more :)
As I stated previously, I have been anxiously awaiting another game like TTBS. Although I don't think this one, based on the demo, is quite as outstanding as the aforementioned, I do believe it is worth the buy.
I recommend this game!
