The first thing I noticed about this game was the amazing graphics! They are so crisp and clear...there is no chance of "tangled mess" problems in the HO scenes or of "mystery objects" not being clear. An amazingly well-rendered game!! I liked the mix of HO and adventure/problem-solving--just enough HO that I didn't get totally sick of it! Most of the HO was not challenging, though a few pieces were quite difficult. The adventure/storyline was at times a bit challenging, but not to the point of frustration, and the hint button provided good guidance when needed. The storyline was good but had a few obvious holes that were never explained. One thing I particularly liked was that when we didn't need to poke around certain areas of the game, the storyline cut them off so you can't even go back there until you need to again! This saved needless wandering, particularly since a map is not provided. Overall a great game for people who like the mix of HO and adventure and don't mind a dark storyline.
I recommend this game!

I just finished playing the second and third games of this series back-to-back, and I found I enjoyed this one less than the second. For one thing, the objects in the HO scenes are extremely hard to spot in some scenes, and I resorted quite a few times to the hint button (which I usually don't like to use). There was also no map, which was a little confusing since some of the tasks required you to retrace your steps. It was also completely unclear what the tasks were or what the application of the objects you collect might be, in some situations--there simply weren't logical connections between some of the objects and the task performed. It was also confusing that most of the HO and tasks had to be performed only within the current window--objects were not carried from one room to another--which was frustrating because there are a few times that you do need to complete tasks on other screens first before returning to finish the current one! And finally, the "hint" button was okay for finding objects but was no help at all in trying to figure out what to do with the objects or where to go next.
I will say, however, that the storyline was better in this one than the previous two ME games, and the graphics were good and the game was also suitably long without being too repetitive or tiring. There is a "skip" button on the mini-games, too, which the first ME didn't have. Overall, a decent game, but just be aware that it may be harder than it looks!
I recommend this game!

I have played the first three in the series and this one is by far my favorite of the three. It has all the elements needed for a great HO/Adventure game and has a nice balance between challenge and fun. Some of the tasks were slightly difficult to figure out, but nothing was impossible or frustrating. A fun game with a storyline that's a nice break from the "dark/mystery/sinister" type games that are so prevalent in the genre!
I recommend this game!

The reviews here will tell you pretty much everything you need to judge this game, but I will add that I first tried playing it on "Dreadmyre" mode without any instructions or skips on mini-games, and it was highly frustrating. A lot of the mini-games seemed difficult to figure out rather than logical and intuitive. Even when I went back and set it to the easiest level of difficulty, it wasn't always clear what a couple of the games wanted from me! I felt like I was taking an IQ test at times rather than playing a game. There were also an awful lot of "sudoku" style mini-games--too many for my liking, personally--and at least one that I still couldn't figure out even with instructions and watching the solution reveal itself when I clicked "skip"! However, the game is nice and long, so you get your money's worth, and there is very little in the way of HO here. So if you like adventure and mini-games, this one will intrigue you!
I recommend this game!

This game has a lot of cool touches that some games don't have--three play levels, the choice to play dominos in the HO scenes, etc. But I was thrown off by the number of cut scenes in the beginning--there were more cut scenes than game play! I also am not sure the storyline really made a lot of sense. However, the game is nice and long--lots of value for your money! And the adventure aspect of the game is fine. I felt it wasn't as challenging as others I have played, and the mini-games in particular were not challenging. It was, however, an enjoyable game overall. There was one cut scene that actually made me jump! Definitely worth a try.
I recommend this game!

While I loved the first two Drawn games, this one has been more frustrating to me than fun. First off, it isn't as much of an adventure game as the others; most of the progress in the game is made through playing mini-games. The mini-games are often based on really obscure or confusing rules and as a result, they become extremely repetitive while you get the gist and try to finish them. There are no "skip" buttons, so you have to finish the mini-game even if you aren't enjoying it. The storyline seems more juvenile than the previous incarnations of the game as well, even though I don't think some of the puzzles are particularly easy for kids to figure out (although conversely, some of the mini-games are extremely easy--go figure!). The adventure parts of the game weren't very extensive--you are often limited to one or two screens while you figure out what to do next. I prefer adventure games that range over a wide "area" within the game--something that the first two games did very well. I wish they had stuck with the more traditional adventure format for this one. The artwork is amazing, as usual, but for me, this wasn't enticement enough to even finish the game.
I don't recommend this game.

I really enjoyed Lost Town, but this one was easier and much more HO-based, with not quite enough adventure/puzzles and challenge to suit me. The ending was also a bit un-climactic and oddly organized, particularly for such an otherwise well-done story. It wasn't a bad game at all, just not up to the standard I expected after "Lost Town."
I don't recommend this game.

I, like a lot of players, love the Drawn series, and one of my favorite aspects of it is the fact that it requires real thought to figure out the adventure parts of the game as well as the puzzles. I thought the puzzles in this one are superior to the previous one, but man, some of them were tough! I skipped several because I felt they were taking a lot of time to solve. Even in the regular storyline of the game, without the clues from Franklin, I would have had to resort to a walkthrough once or twice! I like a game that keeps me on my toes. The beautiful graphics and interesting story are a great bonus, too. For just a casual, turn-off-your-brain kind of game, this is not the one. But if you want to exercise your brain while visiting a beautiful and fantastical world, definitely recommended.
I recommend this game!

This HO game is a different twist on the usual, with a bigger emphasis on the game and the characters. It's a fun fantasy adventure and the plot is fairly clever with a nice amount of gameplay over ten "chapters"--it's a bit like playing your way through a book! The gameplay does get a little bit repetitive after a while, plus there are only two styles of minigame and neither is particularly interesting or challenging, but the HO can be very tricky to find! Cartoonish but fun graphics. A fun game but probably not one I'd play over again.
I recommend this game!

Like others here, I have to agree that this game was too short. I love the first few Dream Chronicles games, but this one seemed like an afterthought. It even recycles several locations from previous games. Maybe it should have been combined with another DC game! The puzzles were okay and the visuals are as beautiful as ever, but there just wasn't enough here to make it worthwhile.
I don't recommend this game.
