I would give this 3-1/2 stars if that was possible. The graphics in this game were very good, and there were some interesting and difficult puzzles. The HO games were also well done. However, I did not like the storyline. It did not make a lot of sense to me and did not propel the game forward. More importantly, though, there was so much back and forth between scenes that you would need a notebook to write down every place you had to return to. It made the game an excellent memory challenge but it was boring to run back and forth between the scenes. The hint command is good, and you will need it when you can't remember where that one puzzle is located. There is a lot of playing time with this game, but again, a significant amount of it is spent returning to locations multiple times to see if that is where the puzzle you were looking for is located. I liked The Void and Raincliff by the same makers, but this game did not measure up to those two.
I don't recommend this game.

Despite the poor reviews, I tried the 1 hour trial of this game because it was Jane Austen. I love Pride and Prejudice, but this game does not do it any justice. The story line does follow the book, but it misses the point of the book, which is NOT young women searching for rich husbands. The game itself loads very slowly, and the transition from scene to scene is equally slow. I did like the HO games--the graphics were very well done. That is why I gave the game two stars instead of one. Unfortunately, this game is a very poor tribute to Jane Austen. I wish someone would do a Pride and Prejudice game that is similar in scope to the Midnight Mystery games or Dark Tales.
I don't recommend this game.

I played a trial of the CE of this game and then purchased the SE. This is a long game with some very interesting puzzles and challenges. The Hint key provides sufficient information to move forward if you get stuck, so no use of a walkthrough is necessary. The HO games were fun, especially those that required you to pair two objects together. I would have given this game a 5 except that there was so much movement back and forth between rooms. This is not a problem if you play the game in one sitting, but if you leave the game and come back, it is hard to remember where all of the puzzles and pieces are located. It's a great game for practicing your memory skills, though. Overall a very enjoyable game.

I enjoyed this game more than any I have played in some time. It is a very long game, with many challenges. Luckily there is a map that can be used while playing, because there is a lot of backtracking. Unless you have a fantastic memory, you are going to need the map. The mini games are challenging and fun; and the game has great graphics combined with a very spooky atmosphere. It is well worth the purchase price.
I recommend this game!

I enjoyed playing this game. It is very similar in set up to Haunted Legends: Queen of Spades. If you liked that game, you will like this one as well. The game was challenging enough to keep me interested, but did not require the use of many hints. The storyline was fun; however, I have to agree with another reviewer who was disappointed in the ending. I expected a little more. Do not let that discourage you, though; it is an entertaining game.
I recommend this game!

This game should have been much better than it was. I really liked the idea of solving a case with the FBI profilers, but this game didn't really allow you to do that. You spend your time hunting for objects, but you don't really strategize to solve the mystery. The game is also fairly easy to play.
I don't recommend this game.

I thoroughly enjoyed this game. I played in the advanced mode, which still allowed you to receive hints when stuck in the game. I like that the HOG games were a little different in that you would be asked to pick out a certain type of object (i.e. all jeweled objects) rather than picking out random items. It was a nice change. The mini games were of medium to easy difficulty, but they were fun. There was some going back and forth through the rooms retracing your steps looking for certain objects, but it wasn't enough to disrupt the game play. I would recommend this game.
I recommend this game!

I really liked this game; I would give it a 4.5 if that was allowed. The graphics were wonderful, and it had a fun story line.
Something a little different in the HOGs was that sometimes you needed items from the main part of the game to complete the HOG. That could be a little frustrating at times, but it also integrated the HOG into the main story.
My one objection was that the hint command provided too much information. Instead of giving a hint, it told you exactly where to go. If I wanted that much information, I would look at the game walkthrough. Overall, though, the game is very enjoyable, and took several hours to finish.
I recommend this game!

I really liked this Midnight Mysteries game. The visual effects were excellent and even made me jump in my chair a time or two. The puzzles were challenging but not impossible to solve. My only nitpick was that sometimes when you would try to use an object, it would not be accepted on the first try if you did not use it in exactly the right spot. A couple of times that caused me to search fruitlessly for another object to use. This was minor, though, and overall this is a great game.
I recommend this game!

I enjoyed this sequel to the first Shadow Wolf game. The puzzles were interesting, and the story line was fun. There was a lot of back and forth between scenes looking for objects, but that is not unusual. It was not quite as well done as the first game. I have played the first Shadow Wolf game several times, and it still holds my interest. I'm not sure I will replay the sequel.
