Apart from the total lack of help, (Something I've never seen in a game for more than 10 years I play....) and the excessive number of HOS, this game is a REAL masterpiece on all levels !
Splendid graphics where every detail is polished. Excellent soundtrack in perfect adequacy with a disturbing and chilly atmosphere. Gripping story and awesome videos with real actors, instead of the just acceptable animations of current games.

By the way, why don't we ever see games as extraordinary as this "Dire Grove" anymore ?

Where are the "Shadow Lake", "Fright", "Mystic Hospital", "Nemo's Secret Vulcania", "The Fog", "Motor Town", "New Atlantis", "13th Skull", "Wax beauty", etc, or the "Top Secrets Finders" of yesteryear ?!?

I haven't seen games as fabulous as these few titles in years.
Now, they're only visual disasters, real horrors produced by "Domini Games", "ERS Games", "EleFun" or "GranMA Studios". Games with distressingly ugly graphics, flooded with atrocious and garish colors, flat and badly drawn, without shadows or reliefs when those of the old BFG were almost photographic ! Games with silly and unimaginative stories, with often absurd enigmas but with clues to discover always in X pieces, obviously. (The locks of the doors or the chests of the "Elephant Games" are absolutely.... SURREAL !)
As for the animations, they're incomparable with the real videos of these old games. Please, propose us again games of this quality and graphic level, instead of the hopeless mediocrities that I see every time I open Game Manager.

P.S. : the only improvements I could notice over the years are the Custom mode, a more modern interface which gives some good titles like the first "Adam Wolfe" or the two "Andersen Accounts", and the morphings always fun to find.
I recommend this game!

 Dark Dimensions: Homecoming
Dark Dimensions: Homecoming
For years, Barton Mansion sat abandoned, a haunting reminder of an obsession gone wrong. But something sinister still lurked there...and it's stirring.

What a pity that the graphics are so lacking in color ! But fortunately, it wasn't the Domini Games who realized it, otherwise they would have been even more bland. But how is it POSSIBLE to draw such horrors? !? And to think that players prefer "current" games, (Since 2015 ....) with poorly drawn graphics that all look alike, flat, without any shadow or relief, with awful colors, compared to fabulous games like "Shadow Lake", "The Fog", "Mercy of The Gallows", "Mystic Hospital", "Weird Park", "Dorian Gray Syndrome", "New Atlantis", "Nemo's Secret Vulcania", "Motor Town", "F.A.C.E.S", "Top Secrets Finders", "Fright", "Escape From Ravenhearst", "Shiver Poltergeist", "TL : Insomniac", "MCF: 13th Skulls", "Cinderstone Orphanage", "Witchville", "Sullivan River", "Maze 360", "Mind Invasion", "TF : Forsaken Souls", "Malice : Two Sisters", "Prisoners of Ice", "The Twin Vaccine", "Chestnut Lodge Asylum", "Lockwood Manor", etc.
Where have these extraordinary games gone, with their breathtaking graphics almost photographic, their unique atmospheres and often with videos with real actors as animations? Such a waste....
I don't recommend this game.
