So this is the fourth game in the league of light series and I am delighted with the game. It is actually a sequel to their second game wicked harvest. So if you haven't played that one you can still figure this one out as it's pretty straight forward with the story but if you played the wicked harvest first you have more backstory for you to go on. There are four levels of difficulty to choose from casual, experience, masterful and custom. You also get to choose your gender and unlike some of the games out there which ever gender you choose actually has a voice over dialog. Although I have to say the female gender's voice sounds a lot like the woman who voices Nancy in the Nancy Drew games but that could just be me. Speaking of the sound this game's music is great. There is a section where it begins to thunder and it was so realistic to me that I actually thought it was raining and thundering out by me and I only realized it was the game when I took off my headphones. There was one part of the game when a character was speaking and it was very light and had a echo to the voice but I wasn't sure if that was supposed to be like that because of where the character was position from you or if that was just a bad recording. The game has a great mix of hidden object's and puzzles they start off easy but most of these games do . A quick run down of the demo is you come to the town to help a father and son but as you get there you find out someone is impersonating you and you can't get in to the town. Mistaken identity happens and you wind up in jail and you have to find a way to break out, basic story so far but it gets better. You get a helper during the demo and it's a super cute baby scarecrow (I wish I had one). You also need to keep a look out for hidden owl's in each scene to help you finish some of your mosaic pieces for a puzzle in the extra's section. The extra's for the game included an obvious bonus chapter. A collection area (this is different from the owl's that you look for), music, wallpaper, concept art, and achievements. In the achievement section you will find the mosaic puzzle along with an achievement that requires you to take a quiz to see if you where paying attention to the game. Which I think is awesome and they tend to do that in this series. All and all I love the game and the series and I'm off to go buy this one ;-) hope you guys enjoy it too but if you haven't played the series before I would start with the first one Dark Omens.
I was pleasantly surprised about this game. First off when you start the game it gives you an option of playing as a male or female. While you don't get to hear the voices of your character (which would have made it even better if they did both male and female voices for the main character's lines) your silhouette/hands are reflected as the gender that you choose.
You play as a detective who can see the dead to help you solve crimes (and while this does sort of remind me of Angelica Weaver which is also another great game) it is slightly different. When you use your sixth sense it just helps you to get more info on the back story it's not real puzzles and after you go through the scene it is put in your journal which is really cool. It has a flow chart of all the characters and how they relate to victim and how they could be a possible murder suspect. You also collect finger prints to figure out who is the killer in the end.
While they game was a little bit easy (I finish very quickly) I had a lot of fun. The extras range from wallpaper, bonus art, achievements, collectibles (which is from the morphing objects and then it puts the persons profile of the cast from the game into a diary and a gives you a little more back story on them) music, developer diary, match 3 and the bonus story (which was good but very short it was like you started in the third act of a movie it would have been better if they started in the beginning).
The graphics were quite good along with the voice acting(as I stated before though your character doesn't speak at all) The hop's were a little to easy for me but I think that most are lately I guess because I play to many of these games. The puzzles where the same way for me as the hops. I really was playing more for the story to find out the killer. I will say the game is a bit violent there is a lot of blood shown on the screen especially in the bonus level (there is a scene where some one gets gutted) so if that is not for you then you might want to steer clear from this one. But for the most part is was really good I just would have like the game play a little harder. I would love to see the developers improve on the next one (hopefully our character speaks in that one and the puzzles and hops are a little harder) if they are going to continue the series.
It takes a lot for me to give a review on a game I must really love or really hate. As you can tell by my title I do NOT love it. I really don't know where to start. Actually I do, let’s talk about the map when you first open it up on the first screen where your car is stranded on a dirt road, on the Map it is clearly spelt Raod. Are you kidding me!?! The people that made this what can’t invest in a spell check!!! Come on. The voice acting is horrible both of the main characters look to be in their mid twenty but they sound like they are in their 40's (which if that was the only thing wrong with this game I could overlook, but obviously it's not).
The dialog is bad, like really bad. First they assume that the player is dumb and cannot see or read examples: You see your car is broken down in front of a gate leading to a cottage and you say "We better hurry and open the barrier to our road leading to our cottage".Or you see a guy holding a gun after you see the main villain and he says “There have been some sightings recently. Of the loner miner. He is the reason I am holding this gun." Or you read a newspaper that says your father closed the mine because of an accident and you literally repeat the same thing almost word from word without expanding on the memory and you just stop. Or even better when one of the characters says "I know I have wronged you but I must run away before the authorities get me." Really who speaks like that and this is only some of the dialog.
Let's talk about the main character Amanda who is looking for her kidnapped fiancé. One word annoying and also she screams a lot I actually turned off the audio because she was getting on my nerves so much. The story is basically a cut and paste of other HOG's but done so much worst.
Speaking of the HOG's the ones in the game are so easy they are laughable. They put the bare minimum on the screen so it's supper easy to find your objects in the list and when you go back to same scene later on they use almost the same items again which are in the same spot. Occasionally they do the shadow out lines instead of a list but guess what it’s the same items from the list before. And let’s talk about the puzzles in the game first there is no directions/info button to tell you what to do. Which didn't really bother me because the puzzles where so freaking easy, no what bothered me was the fact that when you when to do the puzzle they kept in the mini screen instead of blowing it to a full screen like most other HOG's so you had to strain your eyes to see what you were doing.
I can go on and on about how bad this game is, but I will stop here all I got to say is don't waste your money, your free game coupons, your game credits or the 60 free minutes they give you to play this game, because you can't get any of those things back!
It's a storyline that has been done before, with out spoiling to much, your a lost descent of a princess and it's up to you to undo a witches curse on the whole island. If it sounds familiar it's because it is, it's has been done many times before and in a much better quality. There are no voiceovers, the music is just done on a loop so I've been muting it, there are two levels of play casual and expert, there are hidden fireflies through out the game and there are achievements and replay mini games. As for the picture quality it's not the best but not the worst, the mini games are super easy and they have some that are used multiple times through out the game and the hidden objects are super easy to find. It's a very mundane game that I didn't get super excited about, I had a free credit so I used it before I even download the demo (my own fault for not trying it before hand) I am sure if I paid for it I would have given it a star less. All and all if you want a super easy hidden object it's good, if your looking for a challenge I would suggest else where. But for myself I'll just play it once and that's it. There's no real replay value for me. Just my opinion.
Just like my title says I beat this game with 14 minutes left to spare on my trial. There's no challenge in the game what so ever. Maybe if I was a young child I guess you can consider this a hard game but come on with all the other games out there this isn't worth your time. No voice over's, no real storyline, not scary at all, you don't even care about the main character or why your even looking for your friend, you can barely make out what your journal says if your even interested to look at it, extremely easy hos and puzzle scenes if you even want to call it that and the one cool concept they could have used (the scarecrows# don't even do anything. They are unanimated scarecrows and one of them even has a smile on it's face?!? Really? Come on now! The only reason I gave this game two stars was because I was able to beat the game with out buying it and #and that's without using hints) Although for most people they would not consider that a plus.

After playing lost head I kept on going back to a 90's pc game that I had from Sierra called The Incredible Toon Machine that was a lot more fun and more to do. Basically in Lost head you are trying to find the quickest way through obstacles to get your head reattached to your body it's pretty straightforward, there are no hints, it's pretty much trial and error and it gets repetitive real fast, it's ok but I'll stick with my toon machine thanks

I happened to love the first tiger eye and I couldn't wait for the second to come out, for me it was almost a year. Which is why I'm probably a little disappointed with the sequel, probably cause of the long wait I had high hopes it would be better than the first. But it was only ok, I like the first much better, the storyline seemed more thought out and detailed while this one seemed a little rushed, I actually finish much quicker than the first one, it was like the storyline was cut in half. The games though were very challegening (well depending on what level you choose you have three options but the third one doesn't unlock untill you have enough clues) I do wish there was a little more hidden object to find instead of all the puzzles but that was still fun too. All and all it was ok but I do like the first one much better and I feel like it had better replay value. But I would recommend the game if you would like to see how things turn out for Hari and Deliah. I also recommend the book tiger eye by marjorie m. liu it was really good and there is alot more backstory to both characters, its a really good read.
