I've played many of the grim tales games & enjoyed them for the most part. This one was ok until I got to a point of sharpening a pencil and the pencil "disappeared" from the inventory. I used a hint because I couldn't figure out where it went. The hint highlighted the pencil sharpener & a blank spot in my inventory!!!
I found this game almost impossible to win. The gold cards are buried very deep & there isn't enough deck cards to dig down to them before you run out. I generally enjoy these games but if it's almost impossible to win it loses its fun factor.
The hidden object are so small they are unrecognizable! I don't enjoy games where the main challenge is that the objects are hard to see (not hard to find).
I enjoy the actual game play but there was way too much conversation between every single level which I greatly dislike. I don't have a problem with it when you can skip it but with this game all you can do is click, click, click, click through it. Plus the characters are really lame. It cuts way down on the actual playing time for the demo. The game play itself is pretty fun & I didn't have any problems with bugs causing it to stop or jump or anything. If you like a LOT of story with your game you will probably like this one.
I don't know what is wrong with the travel riddle games but each time I try to play one after about 2 minutes it shuts down & takes me back to the beginning, I gave up after the 3rd time on this one,
I enjoyed this game with the exception of 3 things. 1st you can't skip the instructions, you have to click out of them every time. 2nd you have to hit play 4 times between each & every level. Way too much & takes too long. 3rd there is a flaw in the jigsaw puzzles. If 2 pieces are linked together but are in the wrong spot you can't swap them out with 2 other pieces that are linked together in wrong spot. You can only move single pieces into the neutral area & there is no way to divide the pieces once they are linked. The only way to get past it is to skip the puzzle. For the most part I enjoyed the game though.
I originally thought this game was for a 5 year old & then I realized that the idea of making it harder was to make the items so small you couldn't tell what they were. NOT very fun.
