When I began to play Vacation Adventures 13, I was thinking, "I hope they didn't change it too much this time." Boy, was I hasty in my concern.
I have always liked it that this was a series where the developers were not always looking for radically new ways to differentiate one game in the series from another. They stayed true to the original concept. I did not mind that each game resembled every other game in the series.
However, this time, the game resembled the others too much. There was nothing new or innovative with this game. Having played all 13 games in this series, I have become acquainted with scenes that I see repeated. Vacation Adventures 13 CE did nothing but repeat EVERY scene.
I hate to say this because I love this series so, but I was bored to death playing this game, in sort of a "been there, done that" kind of way. I didn't even stick around for the extra games and puzzles in the CE version, which I usually love.
If the developers are going to release another game, they need to introduce at least one or two new ideas without losing the original concept.
Given the fact that there was absolutely nothing here but the exact same scenes from the other games, I see no reason for why the developers released #13 except to gain more revenue. There is nothing here for the player who has been loyal to this series.
I don't recommend this game.

I would like to mention that I believe game reviews should be only about what a reviewer likes and dislikes about a game instead of being unnecessarily long because the reviewer is:
• trying (unsuccessfully) to entertain,
• revealing every specific and minute detail of the game, and
• pointing readers to websites outside of and unrelated to BFG.
In this game, there is a recurring mini-game where you have to rotate puzzle pieces. The pieces do not rotate even when following the game's directions or trying my own work-around. I am a retired web developer and this is the first time I have been unable to rotate a puzzle piece in a game.
I first played Summer Adventure: American Voyage, which is basically the same game but without the morphing element. I have never disliked morphing elements in games, but in this game it is enough of an annoying distraction to make me want to bypass this game even if there were no other issues.
I recommend you play the demo first to ensure you are able to rotate the puzzle pieces. You get to that puzzle on the third level, I think, so you should be able to ascertain that in the demo.
This game is not for me. All the best to all of you!
I don't recommend this game.

I know a lot of our games come from Ukrainian developers and it pains to me give possible Ukrainian developers a bad review while they are fighting for their lives. I stand with them in their fight for freedom to defend their country.
As for the game, it appears it was developed by PixelFresh Games, which indicates on the Internet that it has one employee.
It also appears the developer is dipping his toes in the water testing the genre. The "do this" and "do that" are what would normally be found in games from the early 2000s, so this developer needs to get some help from someone who knows how to develop for today's games, and in the name of all that is sacred please continue with the adventure games and stay away from the gosh-awful HOPA genre.
The game is mercifully short, allowing me to complete it easily in the 60-minute demo time so I didn't have to pay for it. As a matter of fact, I have researched the developer and am writing this review and I still have access to the game, so I must have finished within 30-45 minutes.
I recommend you play the demo as quickly as you can. Don't waste time searching around. This game holds your hand. Go only to the areas with the flashing lights. Nothing else matters. There are no hidden things. The flashing lights have everything you need to go from one room to another.
There are nine rooms. The game is completely linear, so hit the bright flashing lights, take what it tells you to take or do what it tells you to do then move on to the next room. If you haven't completed the room you are in it will not allow you to move to the next room, so don't be concerned that you are leaving a room with activities yet to be done. If you can move to the next room, you have nothing left to do in the room you are in.
You should be able to finish the game before the end of the demo, so don't pay for it first. I have been writing and editing this review for EASILY 20-30 minutes now and I still have time left in the game.
Look, the game is short and outdated a bit, but it is harmless. It's a nice change of pace. Cut the developer some slack. He is clearly new to this genre.
However, I join others in protest of charging a Collector's Edition for this game. I am quite certain that is BFG's doing and NOT the developer's.
I don't recommend this game.

I see several pictures that are the exact pictures from Puzzle Pieces 3, leaving me with the same opinion as Version 3, so I will leave the same review as Version 3. I believe that is fair.
This game has horrible, uninspiring pictures that are all pretty much about the same thing: fairy-type pictures, but not in a good way.
Not only that, but I recognize some of these pictures from their other versions of this game. Does that reflect laziness or cheapness? Not sure which - but neither is acceptable.
I recommend opening the demo first so you get at least two or three levels of pictures and a good idea what the others will look like.
I cannot possibly recommend.
I don't recommend this game.

Why don't I simply paste herein the complaint I just sent to BFG asking for my money back:
"I purchased Art Coloring and could not be more displeased. This is not a proper number/coloring type of game.
The issue is that there is little correlation between the color in the palette and the image that is put on the canvas. I said the "image" put on the canvas because that is exactly what happens, instead of putting a color on the canvas, the brush puts images to create the appearance of texture.
This is nothing more than waving your cursor over your screen. I realize that is fundamentally what all games are, but at least with other games there is usually an honesty to them and on non-coloring games some type of strategy or game play.
In this game, it is absolutely NOTHING more than moving your cursor up and down your screen.
I have purchased every one of Awigor's color games, but never again."
I will add, the images are almost exclusively Awigor's stock-in-trade: animals/birds, girls and motorcycles/bikes - ad nauseam. Boring. Boring.
Lastly, as there is no correlation between the palette and the image put on the screen, be advised that the same number can be tan in one area, green in another and orange in another.
This is nothing more than Awigor trying to pull the wool over our eyes and I am troubled that others don't realize it. Perhaps you must have, like me, played all of their games to start to see the maddening repetitiveness and, now, the disagreement between the palette and what is put in the numbered areas.
On top of all that, it is unfun. :-)
I don't recommend this game.

I always purchase Art by Numbers games sight unseen. Sadly, this game was a huge step backwards.
With Art by Numbers 11, I realized a couple of things: the person choosing the images must be a 14-year-old boy and the developer understands nothing about its demographics.
The demographics for this series or any other offering by BFG is 85% female and 76% over the age of 55. (Polygon, October 2021.)
Had the developer understood this, we might have been spared pictures of warriors on the backs of dinosaurs, tacky women draped suggestively over motorcycles, and the unending animal pictures.
The pictures are uninspired. The developer, Awigor, really needs to stop with all the animals. An animal or two is not unreasonable, but a large percentage of the images are animals.
And, oh my stars, the leaves! Out of 72 pictures, A FULL 52 OF THEM had leaves! That is 72.2 percent of the pictures! Please - stop with the leaves.
The colors here are muddy. It doesn't appear that an artist had any hand in choosing the colors. Awigor really must upgrade its colors.
My last complaint is the awful robot Awigor puts in every game in this series. In this game, it is picture #2. In the next game, Art Coloring, it is also #2. It seems ABN considers this some kind of mascot or signature image, but it is so ugly and uninteresting. My boys used to draw robots like that when they were 11 or 12 years old. Certainly not interesting for 55+ women. Perhaps Awigor should color it, print it and enjoy it hanging on its office wall, but stop forcing that hideous image on loyal customers.
On a good note, picture #23 was inspired. It was gorgeous and a joy to complete. Please, more of these!
I will continue to purchase ABN games sight unseen because I love them, but will still encourage the developer to understand its demographics and develop accordingly, and update these muddy colors.
I recommend this game!

If you have played or purchased any of the Christmas Wonderland games - there are 12 of them - then there is no need for you to play this game.
This game finds Casual Arts trying to make a cheap buck by recycling the mini-games and puzzles from its Christmas Wonderland series. There are no changes in the recycled games - they appear here exactly as they were in the Wonderland series, which is, itself, very repetitive.
I love the Christmas Wonderland series, but I smell a rat with Creative Arts trying to get people to buy this exact duplicate of what it has already published and many of you have already purchased.
Let the buyer beware.
I don't recommend this game.

I'm sorry, are we Beta testing this game? It is hard to know because I have never come across a game this buggy before in my long life. This could have been a great game if not for all the bugs.
Perhaps I kid myself. I have a new 16" MacBook Pro with an enhanced video card so I believe my machine can handle any game BFG throws at it. Therefore, if there are bugs in a game, I am certain it is not the fault of an inadequate computer.
However, I don't believe I kid myself. This game is ridiculously buggy. The red border at the top and bottom will begin flashing in such a manner that it is painful to the eye and I cannot shut the program down fast enough.
That is just one of the bugs. I could list them but I believe it is sufficient to report that there are many.
The game is playable. If I close and reopen the game enough times, I have extended periods of being able to play and that time is enjoyable and challenging. I choose more than 1000 pieces and that makes it interesting when I am able to play it.
If you are interested in the game, I recommend that you try the demo first. If you can have patience to baby the app to try to get to the fun part, you will enjoy it. If you have little patience for games released with bugs, this is not the game for you.

Have you played Christmas Wonderland 10 and/or 11? If you have, then you have played 12. This game uses the EXACT same images and puzzles. They haven't even tried to disguise their puzzles with extra or different things here and there. They've done nothing but reused the same pictures and games and I am demanding my money back. I am stunned to see some of the veterans here have given this game high marks because they had to have recognized these same images, drawings, graphic art and puzzles. I wait all year, every year, for another Christmas Wonderland to drop. I loathe hidden object games and don't play them, but I make an exception for Christmas Wonderland. I will never make this mistake again. They didn't fool me. They ought to be ashamed.
I don't recommend this game.
