When I first started the game it was a case of oh no, but as I got into it, it was a case of I found myself enjoying the game, and I found that I wanted to beat the clock, even though I detest time management, and I never buy them. You have several cases to deal with, and I found once I'd got 3 stars, I could go on to another area within that case.
If you like basic HOG this is for you, and games with simple story lines it's for you, but if you want a real challenge, then don't buy it, other than that I liked playing the game. As for do I recommend the game, I'm in a quandary, I do, but at the same time I don't!!!!
When I saw the game I wasn't to sure about it at all, then when I started playing it, all it is, is hidden objects, no story line like other HOG's at all. I only played the game to the second puzzle, at that was enough for me. However, others might like the game, but it's a NO for me
My only criticism is the developers didn't make it possible to go back once the bonus game had been played to find collectibles etc afterwards, other than that, brilliant. You have to stop one man, and along the way do HOS and puzzles, I have enjoyed this game as much as the others in the series. Great story line, and graphics, and sharp colours.
For a debut game, they've set the standard high, story, graphics and color, excellent. The best bit is the items you have to find, the items you couldn't find, you can go into the sections at the end of the game, and you can find them, so thank you to the developers for making it possible. The couple have a house to do up, but a strange 'person' is making it difficult, it follows you around the house, for a change, I enjoyed each scene, that doesn't happen for me all the time. I look forward to playing the next installment, the game ends!!!
A few areas I had to be in I didn't enjoy, the desert was one of them, the story I enjoyed, the graphics are amazing, some of the puzzles I didn't enjoy, and I had to resort to using the skip button, which is naughty really, but at times in my defence, the guide didn't help me at all. When you've completed the game and you haven't found some of the bats, some are easy to find, some are not, I liked the fact that you could go back to find them, when you have done that, you can do the final extra, which is finding objects, to reach a scroll All in all a great game, which isn't dark or scary or dismal
Overall it is a great game, the one disappointment for me is you can't go into where the extra's are and find the magic seeds etc that you couldn't find while actually playing the game, it would have been great if I could have found them, I really search but a couple I couldn't find, which is why I would have liked the chance to find them afterwards, perhaps the developers will think of this when the next game in the series is released, fingers crossed they do. The colour, and graphics are excellent as is the story, and it's a long game, some of the puzzles I couldn't get, even with the guide, but that's me. others may get on better. The series has been amazing, and this one is just as good You can do the match 3, but I don't like doing them
I can honestly say I really enjoyed this game, in other games that I've played, there's always been a section that I haven't enjoyed, not in this game, I enjoyed every second of it. The story line is excellent, the graphics are fantastic, I love the fact that when you place an object, you get told if it's the right object. The guy in the story, has to confront his fears, or at least that's how it came across to me, he fears snakes, I totally get that one, even pictures with me, and he fears fires, and he has to confront them, you have to do different puzzles, and HOS I also love the fact that it carries on from the last game. But this game, i cannot praise it highly enough
The only criticism about the game is, if you are in a puzzle, and need to look at the guide for reference, you have to come out of the puzzle, in order to access the guide, which was irritating, other than that I enjoyed the game. You do all the work as usual, the Inspector just interviews everyone, you have to find out how and why the guy turns up dead, (I'm sorry about then lack of name, I just can't remember it), it's a twist in the tale. You are centred in the mansion, and have to go to different locations within the mansion, until you get to the Bonus game. and obviously there's all sorts of puzzles you have to do, some favourites, such as joining the wheels, but not over crossing lines, they I love doing. Great story line, and the graphics and figures and the voices are great, I really enjoyed playing it
You are up against a man who is hypnotising people, you have to beat him in any way you can, doing HOS and puzzles along the way, taking you to different places. The sheriff is taken in by the Dr, and has to hold you in custody, while the Dr sees to his other victims. As I said there's a twist at the end, which totally surprised me!
