Basically the same premise as my kingdom and roads of rome but with enough little differences to make it feel like you're not just playing that with different graphics. Cute graphics and sound and what so far seems to be a good challenge to get gold. The first few levels are not a pushover so you don't feel like you're wasting your money on the first 10 levels - you get stuck straight in which is good. Overall a good new TM game for those that want a decent challenge from the start.
I recommend this game!

This game has me frustrated. In Royal Envoy, you have to play a few times to get gold/3 stars but you do eventually, every level DOES have a solution so there is motivation and enjoyment in playing it several times.
This game is SO difficult to get gold in too many levels and there is just NO solution so it gets really frustrating.
Also in Royal Envoy, when you return to a level you can increase your score but in Campgrounds if you reply a level, there is no reward to getting gold next time round so there is no motivation to replay - very bad design flaw in my opinion. I mean playing these games is pretty mindless, we have to invent reasons to waste our time and when they take those reasons away from you, they are shooting themselves in the foot aren't they?
I recommend this game if you don't normally replay, as TM it IS a good one, but if you like to spend many hours getting golds and being rewarded for it, then I don't recommend it.
I don't recommend this game.

Just different enough from the first one to make it worth owning both but the gameplay keeps most of the things that made the first one great. I do miss the tax collectors though, also there's no skill in the timing of house upgrades v rent collection anymore which I think makes the game easier for those less skilled but takes away from those of us who prefer more of a challenge. I got through all 63 levels with 3 stars first time, so I was a bit disapppointed by that and i haven't replayed it anywhere near as much as the original RE. Still a great game though and head and shoulders above any other TM builder out there. Here's looking forward to RE 3!
I recommend this game!
